How to submit our websites and bogs to search engines?

You don't have to submit your blogs and websites to search engines they will find your site naturally. To get them to find them faster you have to get backlinks to them. This will also help in getting your blogs and websites higher in the search engines. You can get backlinks by commenting on relative blogs and forums and leaving your link, social bookmarking at sites like Digg and Stumpleupon and writing articles and and submitting them to article directories. Absolutely!! I know there are places out there that will charge a fee to submit your sites for you but I found that one can do it yourself, and it's time consuming but no money out of pocket. Some of the sites you pay for, I have never even heard of so that to me means, probably no body else has either. I have submitted to the big guys, google, yahoo, and such and that seems to be enough for me. Those are the ones the majority of the people head to any ways. But if you don't submit, they will never find you unless you have tons of activity or tons of info on all of your sites. Good info on your half. Thanks for contributing.

Mostly site engines will detect the pages of your site automatically. If even after two weeks of publishing your webpages are not appearing in search engines you can manually do this. Every search engine is having an option for suggesting a website. You do this so that it will get noted. One more thing is you can go for webamaster tool and make your site verified with the search engines. For this purpose you go to the webmaster tools and get the code providing by them put it in your meta tag or as a file in you httpdocs folder. So once verified, they will start to add you also when similar search keywords are coming...

better give as many as back links you can..and fill your site with good search engine friendly key words..that is enough i think..

I forgot to say. there is no need of submitting your blogs to search engines. and dont waste your time with doing SEO for blogs..they are built in search engine friendly.....make it rich with good contents.

If you ask how to submit to google search engine, then i can tell you the answer. To submit your blog or website to google search engine, you just need to go to http://www.google.com/addurl and submit your URL. Your website/ blog will be listed within 1 month.

I have several blogs and now have hundreds of posts that can be potentially found in search results. I do take care to give my posts good titles and tags containing relevant keywords, and to use keywords when I am writing my posts.

Apparently Google changes their criteria to get high in the rankings so everyone is trying to optimize their pages to get there. If you want to get top ranking the best idea is to take the first pages and analyse them all to see what is getting top billing and what is not. Look at the source code and see what is there for key words as well. I would at least submit to Google and Yahoo if you still can, it has been awhile since I submitted anything to a search engine.

As others have mentioned there's really no need to submit your site to search engines though you can in you want to. Generally if you go to whatever search engine you want to submit to and so a search on how to do it, it'll tell you.

Blogs will usually get indexed quicker than websites - though websites have more staying power - that's why many people attach a blog to their website - the blog gets indexed first which in turn gets the website indexed.

A couple of things you can do to get a blog indexed even quicker are to make sure you 'ping' each posts (some blogs - wordpress - will do this automatically or go to somewhere like pingomatic) and submit your rss feed to the rss sites.
