Katie Couric, Brian Williams, Charlie Gibson Has This In Common  | |  People have gotten fed up with the crap the news media has been putting out and tuning out these once giants in the business.
Fox news topped MSNBC,CNN,NBC,ABC all 8 nights of the DNC and RNC by a million more viewers each night,Fox news continue to donate all cable news 8 year's in a row,left wing folk's hates Fox news guts could it be because Fox news dose a better job reporting the news?

The trend within a trend,NBC's Nightly News with Brian Williams and ABC's World News Tonight with Charles Gibson have been losing viewers, while Katie Couric's CBS Evening News appears to have bottomed out. Brian and Charlie are coming down to Katie's level at a surprisingly fast clip. NBC has lost 30% of its lead over CBS; ABC's lead has dropped by over 40%.

Old media is losing the younger generation and probably some of the older generation. I think it's a good thing. Teenagers don't want to look at one side of things. Teenagers like looking for the answers and finding the truth. That's why old media wanted to crack down on blogs a few years ago. They lost and were forced to create their own stuff on the net. The only thing though is that they are still behind and pumping out the same biased garbage online.

I wouldn't say it's so much because "people have gotten fed up with the crap the news media has been putting out" as much as it is that there's so much more "crap" available these days. In the early days of television the typical viewer worked during the day, came home and ate dinner and watched the evening news on one of the major networks. There was no cable then or the internet, there were three major networks and that was about it. Today fewer people keep that once typical schedule plus since we now have the 24/7 cable news channels many have already seen or heard of everything that will be on the evening news before it comes on.

I really haven't seen a single evening news program in over a decade and I'm still considered a well informed person. Come to think of it, I haven't seen more than a few hours of any tv news in the last 5 years.
There are two things that television never really learned how to broadcast very well... Baseball games and the News.

Why subscribe to a newspaper when you can read the same stuff for free online. The internet has really made this stuff obsolete.
