Do you ever talk with your mother about your love story as story is?open?

I don't talk to my mom about my love life. I know she's there for me. I know that she'll always be there to listen, but I just don't feel comfortable. I also do not seek advice from her when it comes to matters of the heart -- I don't want her to find something not nice about my partner, which she might take against him. I'm just playing safe. It may be different in other cultures. And my mom is still traditional in a lot of ways.

Mothers can be complicated most of the time.

no i could never talk to my parents about these matters they just would not have wanted to know about my love life.we just didn't talk about things like that.i did with my kids

Sadly no, I was never able to talk to my parents about anything. I remember one time as a teen, I asked my mom something and she told me to stop being stupid, needless to say I never asked her anything again.

I wish things could have been different back then, but I don't hold anything against my mom.

Now that I'm older, and she's older, we're pretty close.

Personally, it's MY CHOICE not to open to my parents anything about my love life.

But I know that she's open about it, in fact she even asks me these days if I already have a boyfriend. Although it may sound like good to open to your parents about these things, I personally don't want to open things about my love life simply because I'm still studying and I know she expects me to be better in my studies first and to my other responsibilities before anything else. Not that it's hard for me to talk to her about these things, but in my own opinion, I just don't feel comfortable talking to her about it while she spends money for my education. Maybe there's a right time for it, maybe after graduation or when the right age and the right person comes. But right now, we really don't talk about it besides I don't prioritize my love life now since I'm very focused now with my studies and goals in life.

Maybe someday if I already established myself and become independent, I would feel comfortable talking to my mom about these things just so to make her feel secured that the man I'd let her know about will be the man I'll be spending the rest of my life with.:)

Sounds ideal, but I really love to be the perfect daughter for my mom. I just want to make her happy despite all the things I've done in the past.

i haven't told my dad about all my love story,but sometime maybe i only would share with my mum about my hubby and me but not entirely,but for other love story which meet before my hubby,i haven't told my mum anywords,i thought i won't tell her forever.but i guess that may be she knew since she have ever keeked my diary.
