As to me, I did only once in my life. It was a one act play titled "Poetasters of Ispahan" in which I played the role of "Suleman the barber". It was the wonderful experience of my life. One that I can not forget in my life time. I remember those days when I used to do rehearsal for the play. So, what about you people? Have you acted on stage in any play? Please share your experience.

Only a few times at some school plays. I really don't like acting in a play that much but I like playing live music. I'd like to try acting in a movie or something, though.

Yes! I did act in a play. Just once and that too in my own class. I could make out what mess I would have created had I acted on stage. I forgot my script, almost fainted (of stage-freight) moved about erratically. In short it was a total flop show. lol

Have a nice day. thumbup

Not actually a good actress here.^_^
I would rather sing or dance than do some acting job.
Usually, in plays in school, I will just help with the props, the music or even the lights but not included to those who will actually act on stage.
I remember that I once played a role of somehow a warrior with a sword, I love that one.
I didn't do some acting jobs there just a fight scene wherein we had a battle of swords.
I just had to participate then for we lack in male casts, so I had to do it even if I'm a girl.^_^

When I was around 8 or 9 I somehow became one of the Gingerbread Players, which was a local drama group in my town, during the summer and I performed in one play. I believe it was Jack and The Beanstalk. It was a loooong time ago but I do remember how much I enjoyed getting into character, the smell of the backstage area and even the smell of the stage makeup. My mother still has the clipping from the local newspaper that included a picture of us in costume and I remember the photographer telling "Jack" a couple of times to look scared of the giant.

Of course.
During the first semester, I have played twice . One is for liangzhu .The other one is for the tangbohu .hehehe, very funny to show, you know .BOth scripts are come from the classic Chinese literature .Wow, I am a little girl to play the male role .hahha,.
finally we show it on the stage, the audience seems like it .it 's very funny .

even we haven't got the big prize but the process of the plays is encough .

This memory wil become the inmost sweet part in my life,I suppose .

when i was in my elementary days, i was the type of student who is very afraid of standing in front of the classroom to talk, and worst be part of any plays. i often missed my lines and tend to sweat a lot LOL! i guess that being in front of everyone watching was not my cup of tea before.
then in High School, things began to change slowly, i began loving to stand in front of the class.
there was these play, and i don't know if you know this. the title is "Florante at Laura" by Francisco Balagtas, i played the young Florante. my group decided that i was best suit for that character since i was small back then and my voice was of course childish. while standing in front of the audience, ido have butterfly in my stomach but i manage to keep my composure and focus on it, and guess what i had received an award from my character, "BEST IN COSTUME" haha though it wasn't related in my acting.
then in college i played Ophelia, in Shakespeares Hamlet...Ophelia is is the daughter of Polonius, and Laertes's sister, who lives with her father at Elsinore. She is in love with Hamlet. yes i had played for the first time the character of a girl haha, and i have to wear that silly wig blushlol, aside from Ophelia i also played the character of Horatio is a good friend of Hamlet, from the university at Wittenberg, who came to Elsinore Castle to attend King Hamlet's funeral. and after that play in Hamlet, my interest in plays grew to a much deeper sense. i soon started making my own scripts for our class plays.

I did once and it was a disaster. I did not realize that I had to learn my lines. It was very embarrassing for me because I did not practice and just relied on the prompter. It's too late to go back now and do it right but I have learned my lesson well. Cheers!!

Yes I have done several plays. I acted in school and later did "community theater" where I used to live. I always loved it cause I could be a completely different person. When I was a kid I wanted to be on Broadway.
