TITANIC Last Survivor DEAD

I heard about this on the news in the early hours of the day. It was sad to hear as I had recently seen another news story about her a few weeks ago and I thought that she seemed like a good person. On the video I watched she said that she was constantly getting letters from people interested in her plight, that must have been very overwhelming for her. Especially as she was too young at the time to remember anything about it. It is great that Leonardo diCaprio and Kate Winslet donated money to help pay her nursing home fee's.

that's really bad news.the only survivor of the legendary ship had died.just have to say one thing,she was really courageous and brave,even in that freezing temperatures.

Thank you for this discussion, its such a shame now the the last link we have with the sinking of the Titanic has died, i have seen few films about the Titanic and ho sad it was, I cried buckets because it was a true story and not fiction, it must have been horrendes for all of them, R.I.P Millvina Dean.

She must have been very strong to have survived that as a baby god rest her soul she certainly did have a busy babyhood,It seems incredible she is the last one.Another era ends.

Yes, I was reading that story yesterday about her, it would be weird to have lived through something like that. Just to think she was only a couple months old when it happened, but she said it wasn't till she was about 8 or 9 till her mother told her about it. I remember watching the movie, I don't know how many times I've seen it, but it never gets old. That was a good thing for Leonardo and Kate to do, they probably feel a part of it them being in the movie that is.

This is a moving story indeed.The entire catastrophe ran through my mind like a movie.The father lowering his nine months old baby and doomed to death is really a hero.The gesture of Leonardo di Caprio and Kate Winslet to support her during her nursing home days is truly commendable and they sure live up to their movie images.

That is amazing! I couldn't imagine how scary that must have been for her mother to have her on that ship. It would have been awful trying to survive with an infant in those cold waters.

Wow! 92 years old. I didn't know anyone was still alive from that time. I have the movie, and when I see it I think about the real Titanic and think about how frightening it had to be to know that many of them were going to drown. Horrible way to die, I think. I'm so glad there were some survivors to live such a long life.

Yes, I read this news item . Titanic is indeed a popular legend and it always sparks a lot of discussions and curiosity .
