This turned out to be some fantastic bbq pork loin. I only cooked a quarter of it and froze the rest. I can make this stretch for a whole week, plus the baked beans I'll make too.
I took the rest of the ground beef and made sloppy joes out of it. I'll freeze that too. I'm pretty stocked up on food now. I need to get some baked potatoes and maybe some corn on the cobb.
Boy, do I miss my smoker. I probably won't be able to get one this summer either.
Crud.
Time to make a pitcher of tea.

Sounds really yummy. We like pork loin. I haven oe idea what I will eat tonight. My hubby and I are going to meet Grandpa Bob where his wife works. Yay! My first MyLot friend to meet in person. I hope you get your smoker soon.

thumbup I luv Sloppy joes! I basically make them like this recipe Sometimes I'll add a slice of american cheese on it!
NGREDIENTS (Nutrition)
* 1 pound lean ground beef
* 1/4 cup chopped onion
* 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
* 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
* 1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
* 3/4 cup ketchup
* 3 teaspoons brown sugar
* salt to taste
* ground black pepper to taste

Sweeten to taste too. I like my Sloppy Joes more on the sweet side than tart. Not sure why... I think because that's the way my grandmother made them and that's what I grew up with.
My barbecue sauce is the same way too... a little on the sweet side with brown sugar, molasses, Worchestershire sauce and apple cider vinegar.
Wait until you see the scratch baked beans I'm going to do this weekend. They do a baked bean here in the Lowcountry that can qualify as its own food group.
I like your cheese notion too by the way.

Well. that sounds really good. I hope you do get you a new smoker. You can come over to my house any time and get my meals together for the freezer also LOL. I think we will have some steak on the grill today though.
