What do you buy when you go to Walmart?  

you know what i do, I make me a list but then I get the stuff off the list but i remember things I need to get and some times i'll get the things i remember that's not on the list and not even get what was on the list. I sometimes have to go with my daughter and my mom so when i do i don't stray but if i'm by myself and have money to spend it's like it's burning a whole in my pocket.

I always seem to get the cart that has one wheel that is flat on one side...you know, the one that goes "clatter clatter clatter" as you push it down the aisle...

How do they get that way?

I hate Wal-Mart. I go there needing just ONE THING and come out with 27 or so.

And it's worse if I just need a quart of oil...because Automotive is all the way at the far back corner of the store...which means I have to go through damn near every department to get there...and there is ALWAYS something in Electronics I just HAVE to have...even though I cant't use it yet but I know I WILL get that Blue Ray player and this way I'll have something to watch on it...or that video card that only runs on Vista, which is what I will have when I buy a new computer someday...of course the video card will be outdated by then...

At least I don't go out there tweaking anymore and just wander around the store for hours and hours, only to go home and when I get there realise I forgot to buy what I went there for in the first place...

Wal-Mart does have that way of capturing you. How can you not buy it? It's such a good deal? If you don't buy it now, you'll end up buying it later and paying more. Buy it! Buy it! That is what your subconscious seems to scream to you.

But in all seriousness, if it is a good deal, and you are going to buy it anyway, why not go ahead and buy it now. Stock up. You never know what will happen down the road!

HAHAHA I do that all the time!!! I shop and get so many things that I didn't mean to get. I always get the broken cart too. My boyfriend laughs at me because I always have bad luck with the carts. But I love our walmart, it's a super walmart so I do all of my food shopping there...so to say the least I get into a lot of trouble when I am at walmart :-p

i do shop at walmart once a week, what i do is i make a list of a grocery stuff so i make sure i will get what is needed to get for household, i think its a good deal buying grocery stuff at walmart i kind a like it and it save me some couple of penny. knowing that they have big store so you can find it what your looking for.

I have never been to Walmart or Kmart. Despite Walmart's ability to breed like a gigantic rabbit, I live in the middle of nowhere and there are no Walmarts residing anywhere near me--at least--not yet. The nearest "discount super giant" is a Target, so I go there sometimes. Buy one Hershey bar there, get one free. I pretty much stay local when it comes to buying food and other stuff I need at reasonable prices. We have a small market near us that we like to shop at, but I'll admit, going to Target and seeing the lower prices is a huge relief sometimes. I believe Target and Walmart were created so "we the people" no longer have to stretch our money by dinning on PB&Js all week.

Oh, gosh...I can't stand going to Walmart. I avoid it as much as possible but sometimes it just has the better deal and it's closer to my home. I have a "browsing" problem and it doesn't matter if I bring a list or not...by the time I leave, my $4.99 item has somehow cost me $40. LOL. It's really bad at Christmas time and when all the spring stuff comes out. Bath/body/beauty products and the home department is where my biggest weaknesses usually occur.

I use to be like this also so I figured out a way to keep myself from spending more then I should on silly things at Walmart. First, before I go to Walmart I visit 2-4 other cheap-0 store's, like Dollar Tree, Family Dollar & this locally owned dollar store, so I get the urge to blow money on useless things out of my system and it doesn't cost as much to buy these types of items at a dollar store as it does at Walmart, so I save money in that sense. Then after I get the silly spending out of the way I then visit Walmart, and by that time I'm usually tired and wanting to go home and I don't feel like visiting too long, so I just buy the things on my "Walmart" list that I need then I leave. Instead of blowing money on $7 for 2 bottles of fish oil at Walmart I buy 2 bottles of Fish oil at Dollar Tree for $2. This has really kept me from blowing too much $ at Walmart.

Our store needs a aisle like that. I never see stuff that marked down. If I did I would be like you going crazy over everything.

LOL Now that is way to funny what you got. But yes I have gone in Walmart and get certain things and come out with a cart full of stuff. And I have looked for sales and came out with things at times I really didn't need. Just like yesterday I went to the pet shot just to pick up a cage for my daughters new hamsters and came out with a ton of stuff. And got my puppy groomed to. My husband asked did you go on a shopping spree? I said know just got what the pets needed and just a tad more then what they needed. But oh well now.
