Do you use your Wii as regular exercise? |
| |
| Our family received a Wii for Christmas and I was wondering if you use your Wii for exercise. We do when it is yucky weather outside. What games do you use to get a decent workout? | | | | | |

| | Well, I bought Wii because I want to lose weight. However, I fail to do so as Wii only focus on exercise of arms. My arms are becoming stronger now but I failed to lose weight. Anyway, Wii brings joy to my family, so I don't think buying Wii is a waste of money. However, I think I need to find ways other than Wii to lose my weight. | | | | | | |

| | We use the Wii for rainy days when we can't get outside and walk. It is a fun alternative though. Good Luck to you and thanks for the post! | | | |

| | I actually do. I haven't had time to exercise lately, but for awhile I was using it daily. First I did the sports that came with the Wii. I found that tennis seemed to be the best workout. Then I got the Wii Fit and there are a lot of good workouts on there. I especially like the aerobics. I'm going to start doing some real exercising this summer, but I do plan to keep doing some exercise on the Wii Fit as well. It is a lot of fun at least and has to burn at least some calories. | | | | | | |

| | Thanks for your input. I have used the tennis and the boxing for exercise. My arms were sore the next day after I first started using it. I haven't got the fitness yet. I am hoping to get it soon. I really enjoy using it, and so do my kids! | | | |

| | I love my wii fit which I got in February, I try to do some exercise on it if only for 10 minutes although half an hour is better for me. As I am too self conscious to attend the gym or jog/run it is a real help to me. I do not really like the wii sports and find the wii fit with balance board far better. I also have the dance mat which is way too difficult for me and Samba De Amigo dance game with maracas which is wonderful fun. My problem is that now the sun is shining and the weather is warmer I want to be outside gardening rather than making the effort. Still on the plus side I have lost 2 stone this year and think that this may have contributed, after all anything is better than eating and not moving much. I just wish I had more motivation. | | | | | | |

| | I don't like being around a bunch of people, especially when I'm exercising and all out of breath/sweaty, so using my Wii for exercise purposes just made perfect sense. We first bought it for simply playing games. This year, I decided I wanted to start losing weight and purchased the Wii Fit in February. I'm not sure when I really got serious with it, but I did lose some weight with it after I got more consistent with working out. I did get bored with it, so I've since purchased Gold's Gym Cardio Workout. It's a great boxing game and also works your legs a little as well. You can use the balance board with it in the exercise section to do squats, push ups, calf raises, reverse sit ups, and back extensions!! | | | | | | |
