I lost 3.4 pound this week! . I got a BRAVO star!  |

I had hoped for at least 5 pounds (so I could get my 5 star!), but I did get a BRAVO star for losing 3.4 pounds. I wasn't disappointed at all. The plan is designed for us to lose $3 a week.. so really I am on the mark. My points went down from 35 to 34 now... and as I lose my points will keep going down.. which means less calories my body needs.
We saw how important it is to track our food intake. There were a couple people that didn't track and they gained. This one lady had been losing steadily for 20 weeks and this last week she got complacent and didn't track. She just ate what she wanted without writing it down.... she gained 0.2 this week. She felt like crying, but chocked it up to not tracking and told us all to make sure to always track.
Do you track your food intake? It really makes a difference. It is so much fun to go to those meetings. We get support and guidance. We learn from each other also. The counselor had me talk a bit about my week, since this was my first week. I told how I saved $40 on groceries, how I made 5 meals our of 4 pounds of ground turkey, and about how I increased my walking speed. She had other people talk about their week.. it was really nice, and everyone supports everyone else there.
Well, that's my first full week.

We bought a treadmill two weeks ago! Last week I walked three miles, this week I have slacked off and I hate myself. Once school is out next week, I hope I can get on a better schedule.

My former roommate used to have one and I used it some, but I just got so dang bored with it. It seemed to take forever to get to 1 mile. I like walking the track though... Hope you get to stay consistent.. that is what it will take for me .. consistency.

Absolutely, you must write - if you bite it, you must write it.
Do you use etools? It is great...you are graph your weight loss and it looks really cool to see that downward slope and there are all kinds of recipes and tools on there. Plus it is cheaper. It is less then $40 for 4 weeks.
I am down to 25 points this week, I don't mind the decrease..I see it as progress and a challenge. The challenge is finding ways to stay full on less points.
The 1 point bars are great...as is the light string cheese. I have one of those between every meal..it keeps the hungries at bay.
I try to save 3 points at night for a dessert. I have only gone into the 35 points twice. Once I blew it all in one day at a wedding, that week I gained...but I also had a birthday, a rehearsal dinner, and a family breakfast at a diner all in 4 days. The gain was only .4 and I lost 2.4 the next week.
The new program is great.
Once again...BRAVO!

My family wanted to get me this charger thing for my cell phone and bluetooth.. but I said I would rather have a food processor. I'd rather shred my own cheese from now on.. and to chop or shred veggies in.
