You, or your children?

99.9% of the time at least one of my kids are up before me. I'd say the baby is normally the first up at around 6am, and my oldest wakes up because of him (which is good because he has to start getting ready for school, he leaves at 7am)

Then my 6 year old will wake up usually about the same time as them... then normally I'll hear them moving around and that will wake me up (but I don't always get right out of bed yet.. I just lay in bed and listen to them to make sure they're doing what they need to be doing to get ready for school)

My daughter usually has to be woken up at 7:30.. she's like mom and actually likes to sleep... wish my boys could be like that.

Then the 3 year old is last (of the children anyway) to get up around 8ish.

What is morning usually like in your house?

My daughters trade off getting up first. Usually it is my oldest who gets up first. Sometimes she will just go downstairs by herself and watch tv till someone else wakes up. But sometimes I think she wakes her sister up so she won't have to be the only one up. Sometimes the middle one is up first and she always wakes her sister up. They usually wake up anywhere between 7 and 8. School is out now. When school was in I had to wake the older one up at 7 and the middle one trained herself to hear me come in and she would wake up too. The baby usually sleeps till around 8 or 8:30. So that is when I get up. He will keep yelling "mama want out" till I come and get him lol.

During the school year my husband is the first up, then he wakes me up. We both go room to room and wake the kids. Once it is summer vacation, the kids are usually the first up besides my husband going to work. Sometimes when he leaves everyone is still sleeping. What I don't get is why you always have to wake the kids up on a school day but the over the summer and weekends the up at the crack of dawn?!!?!

My 6 year old son is an eternal early riser. I'm just thankful he can get his own cereal and all that so I don't always have to get up with him. But when the others get up they all get noisy. I'm looking forward to them being teenagers, when they want to sleep all day!

I used to be the first one up about 5a.m. Now that I'm unemployed, I get to sleep later. Hubby is up first now about 6a.m. Kids are up shortly after. Our days start early! I think the kids get used to being up early for school. Now that it's summer they still get up early. My daughter has always been an early bird. When she was just a toddler she would be up with the sun. My grandmother used to say, the noise of the sun woke her up. Enjoy mylotting!!

My husband gets up anywhere between 3 and 4 am so he will get the kids up, not that early he usually gets them up around 6, then by the time the kids are up Im up because I hear the kids. LOL. I know once the baby is born which will be in about a month I know I will be getting up with her whatever time that might be but for now Im taking advantage of it and trying to rest until that eventful day.

During the week and during the school year I am usually the first one up. This past week with school being out I have been trying to sleep in some days. Usually my daughter gets up before me to go to the bathroom and on her way back she grabs a granola bar and holds it up in front of my face and says "open please." I open it up and she sits on my bed to eat it. After she is done I normally get up and get moving.

Don't you love when they start becoming sort of self sufficient?

When my oldest was about 4 hubby and I used to leave him a cup of dry cereal and a cup of kool-aid (which is still good hours later, lol). He had a TV in his room and would watch cartoons and munch on the cereal until we crawled out of bed!

We haven't been able to do stuff like that since the twins have been born:(

It's hard to say. My DS will be up but not make much of a fuss til he hears you are up. The dog whines and whines alot by 6:45am. MYy 3yo otherwise will be the first up and that can be as early as 5am & my 6yo would sleep in til 9 if she could!

Hello! I have a 15 months old daughter.

I am a stay-at-home-mom/housewife at this point so I don't need to wake up
that early to take her to the babysitter or pre-school yet, and we usually
wake up at the same time. My hubby is working at the company where we can
actually see from our backyard, so it does take only a minute to go to work
from where we live so my hubby wakes up at around 8:15AM then I hear the
alarm so I wake up, then our daughter hears all the noises and she wakes up:)
Since my hubby eats his breakfast at company with his brothers so I don't
really need to get up that early to get ready for a breakfast for him which
makes me easier to start a day with our daughterthumbup

Hi katsmeow, my kid always woke up first when he was small. lol now he is always the last to get up in the morning. Yeah, when he was a baby as well as a toddler we always awakened by the noise he made early in the morning.

During his school days we have to wake him up nearly every weekday. Luckily that after awakening, he usually would get up only clinging to his pet pillow for a couple of minutes. He was such a lovely boy that we don’t have to hasten him every now and then. lol we have to wake up one of his cousin brothers several times he then would get up from his bed.

Happy happy posting and take care!
