ABBA fans |
|
LOL i have just been listening to some old ABBA songs, and i remember years ago when i used to be a massive fan, i even dressed like them, especially the blonde one, my fave song at that time was dancing queen and i used to dance to that song all the time in my bedroom in front of the mirror, when i was out disco-ing it with my friends i always thought that i looked like the blonde one, but i never did, i just thought i did...lol...is there still any ABBA fans out there? what was your favorite song? and did you like to dress like them? just thinking back it makes me laugh because i can see how ridiculous i used to look walking down the street in them silly satin trousers and boots and that woolen knitted skull cap, i even dyed my hair the same just to look like the blonde one...oh those were the days.. . ....now i wouldn't even get close to wearing them tight trousers again....but i still do like to listen to ABBA every now and then, so come on guys fess up, did you try to look like one of the ABBA's when you were younger, where you a big fan, are you still a big fan?

tattylashes (4295) | 6 months ago | i did have pics of me in that "get up" a friend and i used to dress like the girls in abba so we had pics taken but i have no clue where they went, i have moved places vertually all my life so i may have lost them on my travels, of course i know who twiggy is, she was beautiful and still is, she is now a judge in Americas top model and still looks stunning, the hair back then was the pixie look and it is out again now, i see alot of elfin like girls with that style, i love it but i am too fond of my long hair now i don't think i would go short again, i had short hair for a very long time and started to grow it when i saw Abba, i think back then we all had our fashion icons, there was alot of girls walking about trying to look like their fave pop idol, especially ABBA, my fad wore off when i started getting into rock music, i was not familiar with the Beatles even though i come from the same city as them, i was only 1 year old when they became famous, it was only when i relised who they were that they all split up, but i was big into john lennon...still am....

mentalward (4195) | 6 months ago | Ah, John Lennon. You know, I came home from my honeymoon in the Caribbean the day that he was shot. What a shock!!! I got home just in time to hear it all over the news and I cried my eyes out! Here he was, just getting his life back together, when he was murdered. It was so unfair! Man, I don't think I had ever cried so hard (well, except for when my father died)!

tattylashes (4295) | 6 months ago | i think ABBA will always be liked by our generation and this generation, they have always been a fave band of mine, i don't dress like them any more but back then when they were HUGE i saw alot of girls copying their style, i cannot understand why they turned down that deal, for a one night only they will get alot of money, i think it all has to do with when all 4 got divorced, it was a bitter split so i cannot see them actually getting back together...

8. tamarafireheart (12440) | 6 months ago | Hi tatt,
Yeah I loved the ABBA too and was a fan, my favourite was "Fernando" but I love all ABBA songs and still do but I've never dressed up like any of the girls, as I was too shy and never really went out much, but ohhh! I bet you look smashing and don't forget it was fashionalbe then so no need to cringe, can you imagine what the kids these would say about themselves in anot 30 or 40 years time with what they are wearing now?, love and hugs.

10. aabuda (237) | 6 months ago | ABBA will forever be ABBA. I really liked their songs. Especially, Thank you for the music, dancing queen and Fernando. If you will just listen and absorb every notes of their songs, you will know that it touches your very soul. I am just sad that I haven't watched the Mama Mia movie yet. I just hoped that I can still catch the movie in the video shop, in that way I can know the story of ABBA.
