I try my maximum to be diplomat and listen to everyone's woes. It helps me view the situation with a different perspective. Oh! and this power tripping does happen. I just wait for the right moment and then escalate the issue to a higher authority:)

But I believe, if we opt to focus on work alone and magnify the great things on it, politics on work will be just an uninteresting stuff. It's a matter of focus... focus on more important things.
