Hi,
When someone talks while sleeping, is this a sign of sleep disorder? I mean not necessarily talks a lot while sleeping, like he/she talks a few words then backs to sleep again..

No, if someone only says a few words than go back to sleep, then he/she doesn't have sleeping disorder. Sleeping disorder is when you have sleeping paralysis, sleep walking, insomnia, and snoring. So when people say some words during sleeping, then maybe he/she is responding to what the person next to him/her said, or she/he is responding to a dream that she/he thinks as if it was real.

Ok, but if someone thinks the dream is real while sleeping, doesn't it make dangerous?

I have talked in my sleep before, so my husband says. I have heard him mumble a few words also in the past. I think we are just dreaming and we tend to talk out loud like we are doing in our dreams. I don't think it is a disorder though.

I'm sure you could find someone to call it one, but I very much doubt that if they talk once in a while and only a few words, that it probably isn't one.

It could mean that they might have a few sleep chemicals off or it could mean they aren't sleeping deeply enough, but only occasionally shouldn't be a problem
