Need Some Help |
|
Okay, so I've had this brilliant idea and I really need to know what someone else thinks about it, and since I know that my buddies at myLot knows lots about things like AssociatedContent and AdSense and Blogs and such that this would be the best place to get the information.
This is my idea. I want to write reviews, post them to Associated Content, then turn around and have a blog that is a movie review blog that links movie reviews and information. So not just my stuff, but links to movie websites and other reviewers and such.
Does this sound legal? Or at least permissible by the regulations of these websites?
I read the terms and services and I don't think that I've crossed any lines, but I'm still not sure and I don't want to mess up a good idea by over looking something.
If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!

1. rberon1985 (1389) | 6 months ago | Hi. with your concern, i think you will be having a problem if you are going to post an article in associated content then you will post it on your blog??Associated content will not allow you for doing that. They want the article that you submitted with them cannot be seen in other websites even it is your own website. I think i is how they work. But I am not so sure. I had my associated content account before but I stopped. I just prepared writing an article in my blog. With that, I generate visitors and it can increase my adsense earnings. I hope this idea of mine was able to help you. have a great day.

lululastrange (294) | 6 months ago | I don't want to re-post my reviews, I am going to link to them at Associated Content.
Does that make a difference?

| 2. Divaduh (27) | 6 months ago | Linking to your AC content from your website is very permissible, in fact it will help your AC content in the search engine rankings. Your idea with a movie review site linking out to other sites is what blogging is all about. As long as you are not cutting and pasting content on your blog then you should be fine.

3. tosha33 (183) | 6 months ago | I do a lot of writing for associated content myself, And I know for sure that as long as you do not give them exclusive rights to your articles, then you can use it inn what ever fashion you want to. The good news is that even if you give them non-exclusive rights you can still get upfront payments for it, as long as your account has been verified. I have done this myself. It is also a great idea, for th fact that they pay for page views also, so as long as your content is being looked at you will continue to make money. I also suggest that you log into your account and go to your profile page, down towards the bottom you will find a link, for your home page, this is another item that you can add to your blog or website. If you don't mind would you please take a look at my content, you can find it my profile page.

4. thedailyclick (1118) | 6 months ago | I am going to ignore the associated content bit as others have already spoken about it but mention something about the "Movies" nicher. Trust me when I say that trying to make a successful movie website is one of the most difficult things you can do. The reason is that there are millions & millions of sites which already focus on this niche and you are incomeptition with some very big websites such as imdb, lovefilm and of course amazon. All of these tend to dominate the search pages when ever you look for information on a movie.
Now I don't want to put you off as I admire anyone who wants to try and break into the movie niche, I myself have a movie review website and know how much hard work it is to get anywhere with it and I am still questioning if it is really worth the effort. But I just want you to be aware of how harder niche it is to get into. I wish you all the success in the world if you do decide to do it.

lululastrange (294) | 6 months ago | It seems like you have put a lot of thought into it... Do you have a suggestion for a better niche? or a way to find one?

thedailyclick (1118) | 6 months ago | What you could do if you really enjoy movies is to pick a sub niche of it, say "Rom-Coms" or "Spy Thrillers" and purely concentrate on that. If you do this you will more likely have visitors to your site who browse other pages on your site, due to the related reviews.

I usually change a word or two in the title (just so I get more exposure from google hits)... and then repost it in other places to make passive income. It's fine.. never give your rights away.
