GOD punishes ....if you talk bad or tell a lie.....

Sounds like a self-fulfilling prophecy to me. Think about it. Alot of people lie every day and nothing seems to go wrong for them. Lying does have consquences whether they happen right then or later, or maybe a certain lie never seems to come back to haunt you. I'm not sure if your mom is right or not, but I'd stop lying if I were you.

No. Your Mom can say (and believe) that it was God that punished you ... and that is OK. That is the way she was brought up and that, no doubt, is the way she will always think. You can't change that and, actually, she is not wrong.

'God' is actually more complicated than 'Lying is wrong' or 'Thou shalt not'. You have to first understand who 'he' is and how you relate to him. You may not believe in him ... that is OK, too ... but one day (hopefully) you will begin to understand him and eventually meet him. Then, and at exactly that moment, you will have met and understood yourself. You are NOT God (that is not what I said, did I?), nor is God you but God's energy and love flows through you, whether you like it or not. When you acknowledge and accept that, that is when you will begin to have 'happy' accidents rather than 'unhappy' ones; when you learn to listen to your heart, you will also begin to know which way you should go (and which way you should not). This, you will find, does have quite a lot in common with what your Mom says but it isn't a matter of 'rules' ... more a compelling and logical reason for choosing one path above another.

Every person has their own path. 'Good' people tend to have a common way of choosing their paths but it is not really based on the Ten Commandments, even though it has many things in common. It is based on what is often called 'conscience' ... a word that means 'with knowledge' - in other words, 'with knowledge of God' ... 'knowing our best path' (not necessarily our most comfortable or most self-consoling path but the one that will lead us to where we need to be).

Who was in charge when you punished yourself? You, right. Better not lie, it's not worth it and sooner or later it catches up with you. The worse thing that happens is you forget what you said the last time you lied so you tell another one
and pretty soon everyone knows you lie.

. i tell my sons mom's are always right. of course they don't pay any attention to me. T hey are grown w/kids of their own.

I believe in both coincidences and synchronicities, however I do not believe that any of them come from the Divine. I don't believe that the Divine is someone sitting around just to grant us instant karma, karma like that comes from our own actions. In this case, I think honestly it was just your mind doing what it does. It's a very powerful computer!

I think that the bottle that slipped was an accident, but because she stated her comment your brain took over and began stringing together every event after that. You were probably already agitated at having dropped the bottle, and then your mom's comments. Then it was just a long series of coincidences that led to you being here contemplating if God did this to you for lying. I don't think God did this, and I don't think you were punished that many times for lying.

It sounds a bit funny but everybody lie and even I do many time, though I promise myself recently that I will try not to lie for 5 days in a month so we are human being after all an we are easily attracted to lying to others. Now this is bad and I know sometimes it can hurt somebody too so it is all a fact in life that we might be caught of lying an then others say that God has punishes me so I do not believe in all these, all I know is that lying is bad and I am trying to lie a little less. Atleast I am being very honest to myself.

hi there. i think that was co-incident. but continuous three times, quite unbelievable. if it was realy happened to your life then your mother is representing god. i think u should not tell a lie ever after. i also lie, but i have no experience like u. perhaps i am a perfact lier and u, just pretending to be a lier. how funny. ha ha ha .....

ofcourse your mom is right . because i believe that mom and god are same . and i too had the same sort of experience in my school days . whenever i tell a lie she use to tell that god will punish . i do believe that i will be punished in any of the other means knowingly r unknowingly . u will be punished definitely whenever u talk bad or tell a lie .

From my perspective i would say that your mom is right to certain extent . But not all who lie are being caught .So i can only say that your mom is partially correct because there are instances where you will be caught if you keep on adding on lies one on the top of the other. Its upto you to believe the existance of GOD.

I think your mom is partially right . All who lie are not being caught in this world and at the same time all are not spared .Its only luck I would say .Its upto you to believe the existance of god. But to be on the safer side it is better to avoid telling lies as it is a good habbit
