do you tolerate hypocrisy?

I really don't like hypocrites but what I do about them depends on the situation. Some people say one thing just to make people like them and then do the opposite when they have the attention they crave, forgetting what they said originally. I just ignore this type of person because I haven't got the time for them. But if what they're preaching is something serious and the person they're preaching to is really believing what they say and don't realise what they're being told isn't necessarily the right thing, I have to interject and air my concerns. Hypocrites are hard to read because what they do is quite similar to lying and I can't tell which part of them is 'true'. I only really relate to 'genuine' people and not fake people, so generally, I try to keep my distance from hypocrites.

Hi Rob, As a parent I have learned not to be myself at all for example my younger daughter got tattoos before 18 but I couldn't say anything nor could her father as we both had our first ones at 14 so I felt it would be hypocritical of me to tell her NO but I did go through everything with her first, for example you have to live with it for life or be rich enough for a brilliant cover up or laser surgery, to think about what she really wanted, the hygiene factor, the reputation of the tattooist etc as if it became infected the dangers etc. I try to lead by example in all areas of my life and acceptance is something I do a lot of. People that are hypocritical I just refuse to allow into my life so my answer would be to ignore, however, I have confronted in the past when a friend allowed something to happen that a few years earlier she had told me to kick my child out over and I told her straight about it and said in future until you experience something don't be so quick to judge yeah. Oh yes, i know a few people who are hypocrits.The way i deal with some of them is if they keep on then i pick them up on all the things they were doing the opposite of saying.Others who only do that once i let get away with it and not say anything.Happy mylotting

I'll step up to post on this topic. In many ways, I have to say on my part I did come off as a fool on my previous post. What I said only lead me to my downfall in which I let myself get carried away from a flame which I should've just let go to begin with. Sometimes it's just better to leave the fire alone not to get burned. So if everyone is wondering about this post it is pointed directly to me. So I say I apologize as said for being a bully hypocrite.

it depends on the situation and the person. its not worth my time or energy to confront some hypocrites but other times its fun to torment them and let them know exactly what i think of them

i would also like to say that it takes a big person to admit they were being a hypocrite and ya have to have a kind of grudging respect for someone who does.

I don't like hyocrisis as well but i think nowadays in many cases youa re obliged to tolerate it if not naturally it will be difficult seeing that in many cases and for many people this is available really often!!
Naturally it is always good if you won't meet this as often but i don't think that a person have a life and never met hypocrisis...so..i think you can even ignore that when you meet and so not ahve so much mind about it1!

It's like the old saying it's like a wolves in sheep's clothing that doesn't practice what they preach or a tree that bears bad fruit that people throw into the fire since it is worthless. I definitely don't hypocrisy myself or people of nature that do that. Kind of like in my neighborhood when I see some religious preacher talking about God to people yet he ends up just being a drug dealer instead. What a waste of time it sickens me.

It all depends on the situation. Normally I would speak up and let it be known, in some situations it is easy to give advice then to follow your own.

Oh my god I can't stand hypocrites!! I often wonder why people are this way. They are one way in front of you and another behind your back! I know many people who are this way and I've found that people who are this way need to seek help. I often wonder what good does it do to be so fake. I do always try to ignore them but sometimes it's a bit difficult. I know someone who is this way and she talks about everyone else to me and often makes me wonder if she does the same about me behind my back. My answer to that would be: Yes! I'm sure she does. I could care less if she does.

I hate such people, but I try to ignore their behavior and not to "explode".
But sometimes I just can't hold on and I say what I think right in their face.
