If you can go back and change things you have did in life will you do it?

So many people, including myself, jump to say yes to questions like these, however there was one reply that I liked.

Everything we have done in our past has made us who we are today.

Going back and changing the past would in turn change the future. many of us believe our lives are horrible and wouldn't mind if our future was also changed but if you think about all the good things that hapened after what it is you want to change and look at it as it may never happen because you decided to do things differently, would it reallly be worth it?

Now the real question would be, knowing what you know now, what would you go back and do to make things better hopefully without changing to much of the future (well the present).... I can say for me, knowing what I know today, I would go back just a few years and play a few lottery numbers to win and get in on some good stocks before they became popular.... doing that, I'd be in pretty good shape right now even with the economy in the mess it's in.

I can't forget the past. Arguably some of my greatest moments happened in the past. Haha!

But seriously, I'm somewhat grateful for the majority of my mistakes. I've learned a lot more from; my many failures than I have from the successes. I know that's somewhat of a cliche, but it's also true. I wouldn't say I've become a better person because of it, just more grounded and a lot wiser.

If I could go back in time in a Delorean, and give my former self a "lessons learned in life" handbook, I'd do just that. some of the mistakes would still occur, but at least there would be a bit more irony involved afterward when I finally got around to reading it.

Well.Unfortunately everything in my life has been so perfect according to me.However if I get a chance to go back in time I will love to go.Because I would get to live that wonderful life once again.

No...I would never go back and change anything at all. Changing even one small but painful thing would always change other things...positive and good things that happened along with all the not so good. If nothing else....lessons learned that much needed to be learned. Rather than wish to change something, you should pay attention to what you can learn from what to you is a not so good memory. You can't wipe out the past but you can prevent it from repeating itself if you pay attention to it so absolutely .....don't forget it either.

Yes, if I had the opportunity to go back in time, I most certainly would. Unfortunately, we don't know what we really want in life until we get half way thru it...and it's often too late to change the things we did. If I could I would change two things..I would go to college, and not get married so early in life. I was married at 20, and had a child at 21. I always thought the important role for me, in life, was to be a wife and mother, because that's what my mother did. I had my opportunity to go to college, but I turned it down, not thinking how much help it would've given me.

So I tell all my neices and nephews now...go out and do as much as you can in life, go to college, find out how to make the most in a career, enjoy life to the fullest...learn to sky dive, skin dive, jump from a bungee cord, water skiing, camping, rock climbing, anything that you have a chance to learn, before you make that final committment to settle down and have a family..because once you do, you won't be able to just run out and do these things. And when the kids leave the nest, you are often too old to do any of these things or life will change so much, that your health or your finances won't allow you to. Do it now, while you can.

If I could only change one thing about my past I would get a better education. That's not to say I would like to change only one thing---I have many many things I wish I could do differently. But if I had to pick one, then yea, I would have gotten more education. If I could do that I think some of the other things I regret would have worked out differently! Lack of education led to lack of money led to a poorer quality lifestyle. My kids would have grown up differently if we had money. I was a single-mom back in the days when they did not enforce child support laws. If I had a better education and earned more money I think my kids might have ran with a different crowd.

There are definitely moments in life at one point I wish I could take back. However, now when I really look back and think about, where would I be without those moments? Would I be the same person today? Probably not. It's moments like those that help form you as a person. I'm proud of who I am today, and realize it wouldn't actually help to go back in time and change things. I feel it's best to live a life of no regrets, just do the best you can, you will never be perfect. It's the road of life, and we all need to have a few bumps in it.

i don't think i will... i don't want to go back to the past and regretting things that i had done... it won't do me any good... i just want to live for the future and look ahead... the past is history and lessons for me to learn so that i won't repeat the same mistake again... but i won't go back in time even if i can... take care and have a nice day...

Nice question. for me, i will not change the things that i have already in my life---whether that action made me succeed or failed. after things happened, after my own wrong doing, i just allot a time to analyze that i have done wrong, learn from it and move on... that's what i always do. Our past is important, definitely. But, we should not dwell on it. we should move forward and learn from our mistakes.

Er...In my opinion,If I can go back and change things I have did in my life,I will be more thankful and kind.I want to company my father when he passed away.I want to be a good girl,listen to my mum's word because she was just did anything for me.I will study harder to met their expectation.I will say to my lost friends that I would love their forever.But things cann't go back,right? We just need to focus on the present.
