Binthu (3131) | 7 months ago | Hi friend,
Yes you are absolutely right. Ibuprofen is good for the headache instead of other medicines. The only things is that Ibuprofen will produce stomach ulcer as its side effects. But if taken this Ibuprofen after the meals then it will not harm much.
Generally all the physician will recommend to take tylenol, panadol, for headache, because all the paracetamol medicines will not gives us more side effects like Ibuprofen.
Hope my answer will gives you some best idea about Ibuprofen.
I have got all this information from Mims.
Happy mylotting.

2. UK_Shree (1844) | 7 months ago | I'm not sure that Ibuprofen is the best for headaches. I prefer to take Ibuprofen for muscular pains or inflammatory discomforts. When I have a headache I am much more likely to take paracetemol which usually works really well and is also kind to my stomach.

Binthu (3131) | 6 months ago | Hi UK_Shree,
Thanks for your comments.
Yes you are absolutely right, the ibuprofen is well effective for the purpose of back pain and sever pain in any part of body, but in case of headache you can go for paracetamol which is effective and very gently on stomach. Paracetamol does not gives any side effects likes Ibuprofen.
Have a nice day.
Best of luck.

5. Pigglies (5013) | 7 months ago | I definitely prefer it for headaches over anything else I've tried so far. It doesn't work on my migraines though unfortunately, but so far neither does anything else I've tried.

7. oyenkai (3329) | 6 months ago | I got this from HealingWell.com:
Simple analgesics include the familiar over-the-counter (OTC) pain relievers such as aspirin (Bufferin, Bayer) and acetaminophen (Tylenol), as well as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, Nuprin), ketoprofen (Orudis), and naproxen (Naprosyn, Aleve). These last three belong to a class of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
From that list, I go with acetaminophen and specifically Tylenol. I believe that it's a better choice over ibuprofen. But that's based on my personal experience and I don't know if we suffer from the same type of headaches:) It's still best to consult a doctor who will ask you more questions on the nature of your pain and will recommend you the best options.
Thanks for the response on my discussion:)

Binthu (3131) | 6 months ago | Hi Oyenkai,
Hope you are doing fine.
All the medicines like Tylenol, Aspirin, Advil, Neproxen, Panadol, available in the counter of a pharmacy, you can also get this medicines without doctors prescription. But mostly advised to use any types of medicines with the guide of pharmacist.
Have a nice day.
Best of luck.
