Da Vinci Code Vs. Harry Potter.

They are both so different and i feel it is unfair to even compare such great books. But i feel like Da vinci code is the better book since i was really let down by the last book in the harry potter series

I'd say Da Vinci Code is better. It's more realistic, interesting and exciting. I don't really get the Harry Potter story.

Both books are too good to be compared with each other. And besides, they have two different genres. Though I'm a bit disappointed about the outcome of some parts of the books, it's a great book (I'm upset that Remus, Tonks, Fred and Snape died). Da Vinci Code is simply amazing. The small facts and rumors are twisted to make it seem real in our eyes. I simply love the mysterious and the puzzles; it's simply exhilarating.

So I believe both of them are good and on equal footing. I can't simply choose which is better.

I think Harry Potter series is any day better than Da Vinci Code. For starters, it is a complete series of 7 books to one book here. Secondly the story is more rounded with action, adventure, romance everything rapped in, while da Vinci Code is just a race against time.

In fact, I liked Angels and Demons better than Da Vinci Code.

I think that despite the fact that they are both very well-written, the entire universe created by JK Rowling in an effort to support her plot and storyline supercedes the effort put forth by Dan Brown. And believe me, as much as I love the thrill of the Da Vinci Code and Dan Brown's work in general, I couldn't place it in higher regard than that of Harry Potter. Of course, maybe I'm just defending HP because I grew up with those books and can't think of any other piece of literature that has supported me more throughout the years.

Really totally different..... I think the author of Da Vinci Code did much more research on History and Catholic church and make everything sound so real in the book. J.K.Rowling, however, spend most of her time designing the script of the characters so that the book becomes so interesting and suitable for children.

I love Harry Potter much more than Da Vinci Code, maybe because I want to be a child much more:)

I do not know why would you even want to compare both books because one is a series and the other one is a sequel of another book.
They do not compare to me in any way and they are both good in their own right.

Both are really good ones. But since I'm really attached to harry potter series and the characters I would definitely say Harry potter.. Once I start reading a harry potter book I won't put it down until I finish it. But it had never happened with me for any other book. It took more than 2 3 months or more than that for me to finish davinci code while it took very less time for harry potter. While I'm reading harry potter its like I'm in an entirely different world and I love to be there for ever and ever. I was shocked as well as crying (not literally) when sirius black, dumbledor, dobby etc died. Still now when I read those parts I'll end up crying. So harry potter is the best for me!!
