thanks...well it's still working so i did something right, i have been thinking about getting into computer school and learning more about how to fix them, but so far the screen hasn't stopped working so i must have done it properly

it was brilloiant to see that screen come to life, i was gutted when i dropped my laptop, it was a nightmare come true, it is good to feel that i am capable of fixing it myself, like you when you did your page on cozy, i remember you telling me that you didn't know how and now you do....little things like that mean alot to me...even fixing the screen was easy to fix, i was made up with myself...

i was very nervous about fixing it, even though i looked at the tutorial and dreamed about fixing it, i was still a bit nervous, but when the screen lit up i jumped out of my seat....i was so happy with myself, lol....

I know how you feel there. I keep on with my older machine, my laptop had problems previously, and we did a lot of things to fix it. People kept telling us to give up and get a new one.They said it was not worth fixing or keeping. It was not a big problem when we were directed to the right repair place. I do not know what I will do when it dies.

hi flutterby, oh i was well chuffed with myself when that screen lit up, i was like YEEEEEEEEEEES, i did it....lol....yes my friend was so nice to lend me the laptop and i appreciated it so much, i was lost without mine, so i told him that i would fix his for free if it broke...lol...

Me either GardenGerty. I sure will not be able to afford one right away. I guess maybe the smart thing to do is start saving a little at a time and then when mine goes kaflooey I may just have ennough saved to buy another one.
I will be lost I know that because this is about the only hobby I have is my computer.

i have been looking at going to computer school to learn more about them, i would love to know about this incase i need to have it fixed agaun, i was really happy when i fixed this screen, i didn't have the money to pay for it to be fixed, but i could afford the screen, so i thought "I KNOW" i will do it myself, and i did...yaaaaaaaaaay.....lol....

I do a lot of things like that myself. If you can
read and understand, there is always a how-to-book.
Keep on doing what you can. I am like you I do
not have the money at times.

thankyou gerty, i was so happy when i saw that screen light up, it was like a eeight was lifted, i was worried about it for weeks and waiting for the computer guy to look at it was not good because he hadn't even ordered my screen, so i took it off him and did it myself...job done, job done right....lol...and i saved money doing it....

i am thinking about it since i fixed my laptop, it gave me the drive to look into it more, so when i get the chance i will nip down to the local college and see what courses they have, i could do with doing something else on top of the job i already have...

yes a good clean may make it work better....

well it was pretty easy to mend, ireally thought it woiuld take me ages and it would be complicated but it took me no time at all....AND....it still works...not bad for a first timer eh....lol....

Quite often, especially when you have not undertaken something like this, it sounds like it would be complicated, & then when actually doing it, it does turn out easier than you thought.

yeah it was only the side affects from my surgery but i was mortified because id broken something so expensive, i could have kicked myseld silly, i did manage to put a new screen in and it still works so at least something good came out of a bad situation, so i am proud of myself for being able to do that....
