I also have an account in hotmail and I also seldom open it. Or I should say I am not giving that address to anyone else so nobody would send email to that account to reach me.
In fact, I also have an account in yahoomail but again I also seldom open it.

I always use hotmail, and rarely ever use my yahoo. I always use my hotmail account for some reason.

I am not sure why Yahoo is so much more popular. I never use Yahoo though. I just do not like the way it loads for me. It is way too slow on dialup. I love hotmail though. I use it daily for my Mylot discussions.

i dont know about others but i use hotmail more than yahoomail.. it is because i use msn messenger more than yahoo messenger:)

I have both accounts at hotmail and Yahoo, but I never use them both as my Email address. Because I have a company Email address for my work and a gmail account for others. Frankly, I always use MSN, as I have a lot of friends in the account and I need it for my job.

I had the same Hotmail account since I was 12. That's 10 years with no problems except spam (no, I do not want to see hot women in compromising positions and I do not need to enlarge my manhood, as I am female! lol) Then, earlier this year, it was hacked, and Hotmail staff would not allow me access again because I couldn't answer the secret question. After 10 years, I don't remember the secret question, and as they wouldn't tell me what it was, how could I answer it?! Ridiculous. Somebody else now has my details including my home address and phone number and some of my bank account details. They wouldn't even close the account for me. If I am a victim of identity theft in the near future, I will blame them entirely. Stick with Yahoo!

I have an account with both, and use them both regularly. I use one for whenever i sign up for things online (i frequent freebie and sample pages) and for whenver i sign up for a site. The other is the adddress i give to friends and family and use for important things (like to my doctors office, who sends email reminders of upcoming appointments etc..) I check them both daily, if not more than once a day. It helps me to keep things organized, and it since i have the same email at both, just one at yahoo.com and one at hotmail.com, i don't have to struggle to remember many different email addresses.
