I do not believe we are doing enough to save the earth, because even if there are hybrids out there, but there are still over 600 million cars on the planet, and this number could double, and imagine how many emmissions all of these would provide. Well, we need to change drastically to save this earth, and i mean drastically, like taking most of those cars off the road, which is not a possibility. What you can do is, go on ebay, buy either solar panels, or wind generators for your house. These are not too expensive, and you can use those to power your house, which cuts out the electric bill. If you can not afford this, you can buy smaller solar panels, and generators for smaller products, you do not have to power your entire house. I have 14 solar panels, and one solar panel controller, which gives me about 1000 watts, which is enough to power about half of my energy needs, and this cuts out the electric company. Every month, my bill is reduced by about 20 dollars. Another tip is like to turn off your computer when you are not using it, and same with the television, and lights. These steps can help, but you have to remember its a world effort, and unless Asia agrees, and cuts back on emmissions, nothing can save the planet.

housemd (185) | 6 months ago | I have been looking into solar and wind power. And yes I agree with you, it seems very expensive at first, but in the long run you're going to be saving a bunch on electricity bills. Plus its a very environmentally friendly way to use power. Although there has been an increase in the manufacturing of hybrid cars, I don't think this is enough. Not everybody can afford a hybrid car. I have been trying to cut back on my emissions by walking or taking public transit when I can. Thanks for your response, I will look more into getting some solar panels.

Recycle: check again your house, find anything that can be fixing or modification to become usefull again. bottle for example, you can wash and have it cleaned and make a vas. Reduce: reduce our used of oil, electricity, etc.

It's a very simple motto that will help you remember how to save the planet.
Cooking meals in batches and then freezing for later use will reduce the amount of time spent with the oven on.
Simply rewarm the food tray when you want a meal, using the microwave and not oven.
That will reduce energy expenditure.
Also, walk or bike to places and leave the car in the garage.
Or, car pool with a friend to school or work.
Another thing you can do to save energy is to unplug your microwave at night.
Most appliances use energy even when not being used.
Even on standby mode, they use nearly 75% of the electricity as when in full use.
That energy comes from somewhere and causes a drain on the Earth's resources.
