walkman: do you still have/use one?

Yes I used to own a walkman and I remeber having my new kids on the block tape and my prince tape LOL. I kinda liked them better than the cd playing ones they had because it would skip so much when i would walk to school. Ah, this brings me back hehe.

I use to have it many years before, but I follow the technology. I don't have one anymore. Sure, it can be still work and cost a less if some store still sell that. I used to have it, when wiht my internet I got a free mp3 player. At start, I was still use my discman but more the time advance more I get to utilize my mp3 player. Now, I sell my walkman to another who wish to have one...and now use my old mp3 player haha because that since 2005 I got it,, and don't plan to change untill it broke or maybe got another one free haha!

Sony still uses the name walkman even though it's an mp3 player now. I still have a bunch of cassettes and play them. I use to buy them in the late 90s because they were so much cheaper than CDs at the time. But then mp3s and Napster came out and you could get everything for free. lol

I haven't used a Walkman since the mid-1990s. Hard to believe it has been so long. I don't think I even know of anybody who owns one.

Earlier i had a walkman. But often bored with it as the cell gets easily exosted after 3 hours of usage. But after MP3 inventation its very nice to hear songs without any interruption continously for more than a day.

You brought back the old memories dude.I had one when I was a kid.I still have it somewhere I dont remember but not in a working condition.And like everyone else I am using an I pod nowadays.

Yes I did have a walkman! And unlike you, I never had one of those cool slim ones, I had a really fat geeky one which I was always a bit embarassed to get out in public! I used to hate the hassle of carrying loads of tapes on me, and having to fast forward or rewind just to find a tune that I wanted to hear! I think the advent of mp3s is a truly brilliant thing and it has revolutionised the way we listen to music when we are out and about.

Yes, I still have and use a walkman. I don't have an mp3 player yet. My walkman still works, and I guess I'll use it until it doesn't!! I only use it when I go out for a walk...which isn't every day. So, I still get by without the mp3. Can you believe it???!!!LOL! Take care!

I haven't heard anything about walkmans for years,my son has an ipod with thousands of songs on it and it is so small.Every thing is so much smaller these days .I still find those tiny things have so much technology in them and all those tunes.Like you say with the walk man ear phones over your head a pocket big enough to put the thing in,or a belt clip,then pockets of cassettes.The thing is when you buy these things as presents for the kids they seem so small.Not like the bigger boxes we used to have it felt like a present,and all those 45's.LP records vinyl filling up every shelf in the bedroom and the hi fi in the corner.at least it looked like you had something,we have spent hundreds on my son and he can fit most of it in his top drawer along with his underwear.How things have changed.
