noticing effects of water exercise, and wondering  | | So I've been teaching water aerobics for 6 weeks- 3x a week for an hr. This week I get to go up to 5 classes (adding 2 more hrs) and I am starting to notice results!
I notice that my thighs are trimmer, and my legs and my arms are getting more muscle! I'm so proud, I actually have muscles I can feel in my arms!
Only question.... when do I start burning off fat? I mean, I might be seeing it a bit, but I'm talking about the belly, the upper arms, that kind of thing?
I'm not starting from a fit place, so anything is better. I'm about a women's size 18.

PeacefulWmn9 (3027) | 7 months ago | I do some medical reseach and article writing, so I would advise that to burn fat, increase by 5 minutes each time the amount of time you spend swimming. Or you could add a 20 minute walk to your routine on the days you don't teach. Certain foods help burn "belly fat." Green tea, and olive oil, for instance. Trimming a few calories each day will also help.
Specific exercise for the the stomach and upper arms (triceps) will also help you continue to progress. You can do a google search for specific exercises. Start slowly and maintain proper form to prevent injury. Best wishes and keep up the great work:)
