Classics Vs Modern ...  | |  Well I never watched an old classic movie before.I loved the new romantic comedy movies.But then one of my friends reffered me a movie which changed my total opinion on old classic movies.And the movie was none other than all time favorite Gone with the wind.Then started the string of old classic movies after that.I feel classic movies are equally watchable even at this age.So how many here are classic movie lovers.And any movie you would recommend everyone to see.

| | 2.  lulu1220 (431) | 6 months ago |  I was introduced to classic movies when I lived with my grandmother in my early teens. Two of my favorites is Key Largo with Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall and Edward G. Robinson and 12 Angry Men with Henry Fonda.
I also like the old Tarzan movies with Johnny Weismuller and Maureen O'Sullivan. These two had a great chemistry on screen and nobody can do the Tarzan yell like Johnny.
I believe everyone needs to see It's a Wonderful Life and should see it uncut, not on TV or the colorized version.

Whilst they may not feature all the flashy fx which dominate modern cinema they show a greater reverance to story telling using a well crafted plot and performances where ego isn't the most important thing.
There are 2 classic films hich spring to mind which I would certainly recommend the first of which is "An Affair to Remember" which may suit you if you enjoy romantic movies. It features brilliant performances and a storyline which is seriously touching.
The other one is "it's A Wonderful Life" starring Jimmy Stewart in probably his most well known role. I absolutely love this film and everytime I watch it it manages to inspire me. In fact I recommend watching any film which starts Jimmy Stewart such as "Harvey", "Mr Smith Goes to Washington" and "The Glenn Miller Story".
