How Do You Feel About Car Chases?  | |  I think it's funny that they show so many car chases on the news channels. Sometimes they spend an inordinate time on these high speed pursuits. I can understand the local broadcasts, there might be a reason to look out for the car or whatever. But not too many people in Pennsylvania have to know about a car chase in L.A. And they usually have no information to report. They have to say over and over that they have no idea who is in the car or why they are being chased. So to me it is more like their idea of entertainment value.
How about you? Do you like to watch these car chases on the news? And have you ever run into something like that when you were on the highway?

| | | 3. Pigglies (5000) | 5 months ago | I think it's ridiculous that they give the chases so much coverage on TV. I think people even just do it to get on TV now. I had no idea people in Pennsylvania were watching the same car chases that we are in Los Angeles! That is crazy.
Out here some of my friends have had these "high speed" chases go right past their house. I've seen one on the other side of the freeway before and that's the closest I've ever gotten to them. I don't think I'd be too freaked out though, with all the stuff you see on freeways out here already it wouldn't be that big of a thing to see. It wouldn't beat the time 3 cars hit each other in front of me and then all 3 drivers jumped out and got into a fight in the middle of the freeway! | |
