Have you ever made French Toast on the barbeque? |
|
We experimented with making French Toast on our gas grill this evening. I know you are probably saying, "so we have already done that." I had been having a craving for French Toast for a while now. My old griddle bit the dust sometime back and I haven't replaced it yet so we tried it and they turned out great! It's easy with foil and nonstick spray. Try it your love it!

1. vera5d (2194) | 6 months ago | Wow, I never would have thought to do that! Might have to give it a try, though I usually like to make it in the morning so probably not too keen on lighting charcoal and all that quite so early.
we made kabobs last night, they were really good! It is nice to do some outdoor cooking!

We didn't do that for the second batch and they stuck so the next batch I changed the foil and sprayed it and it worked. It didn't take to long to make 16 pieces of french toast.

3. arcidy (4976) | 6 months ago | No havnt tried it nor have I even thought about making french toast on a barbeque before. Mainly because I like French toast during brekfest time and I really dont want to be outside during the morning time since its still kind of cold. And I like to watch tv when im making my own brekfest.

Interesting way of making french toast - though I don't have a barbeque per se. All my grilling needs are usually done stovetop-style. I also have a double-sided stovetop griddle - one side has the grill marks, and the other side is perfectly smooth (when it's clean, of course).
I just make french toast how everyone else makes 'em - though if I ever go out camping or somewhere outdoorsy like that, I'll definitely try it your way. Thanks for sharing.
