Central Air Help  | |  So, its really warm where I live. So, I decided to turn on my central air. However, when I turned it on it started making this really loud noise. Then I looked outside and noticed that the blades are not even spinning on the Central air unit. I am not sure of what brand it is considering I just moved into my new place a couple weeks ago. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Should I call a repair service? Any information would help. Thanks.

As you may think, I don't know much about them, so I can't help you with finding cause of that noise. I could suggest you to call repairman or maybe post a thread somewhere on the forum. It's not a good sign that the blades aren't moving and the noise part isn't good either. Sometimes you can turn a little thing into a big problem by trying to fix something you know nothing about so my advice would be to let a professional look at it. By the way, if you bought this home you may have a warranty period on the major appliances. Check into that, too.

it sounds like its either that or the moter is bad
I see that you have a repairman coming out
