Debs_place (6759) | 7 months ago | pound is great. You were doing really good and I know it is a great motivator but weight loss does slow down after the first few weeks. the program is designed to lose between 1/2 and 2 pounds a week. I hope to lose about a pound a week for the next year.
Have you tried adding in another 10 minutes of exercise a day?

GardenGerty (20654) | 7 months ago | I think people see us through a type of filter. They see you as they know you now, and as they remember you then, and because of your smiles and frowns. In other words they see the whole picture, not just your body fat composition. You are not defined by your weight. That is a good thing. I know, though, that the occasional compliment can go a really long way.

3. LadyMarissa (2765) | 7 months ago | CONGRATULATIONS!!! I know it has been a LOT of HARD work!!! I once worked with a girl who lost 50 pounds & I never noticed. Her desk was directly across from mine. She was insulted that I hadn't noticed. Once she pointed it out to me, I was embarrassed!!! The only thing I could think of was seeing her every day I had seen her gradually get smaller. In this case, she was wearing the same clothes she had worn before & they weren't hanging off her. I usually only saw her from the chest up so I wasn't looking at her body all day. I most definitely would have said something to her had I noticed. To this day I don't understand why I didn't notice it. On noticing, I'd say You look like you're losing weight. I assume you've been working hard on this. You're looking good. Keep up the good work!!! If I'm concerned the weight loss is from heath reasons I'd probably say I've noticed you're losing weight. Is everything OK??? Are you losing on purpose???

Debs_place (6759) | 7 months ago | That is a great way to handle it if you think it is for health reasons. SHe lost 50 pounds and her clothes did not hang...wow, they must have been tight in the first place or a stretchy fabric.
BTW Thanks, it has been hard but having my husband with me doing it has really helped.

LadyMarissa (2765) | 7 months ago | This girl was very large. 50 pounds for her was like 10 pounds for me. But that was still NO excuse!!! She also wore her blouses to the outside of her skirts so I couldn't see any change there. She also wore her clothes baggy so a little more baggy wasn't easy to see. I'm not making excuses for me, but I don't think that it was all my fault. She was the ONLY one I ever had that problem with.

But if they have lost weight, and I am not sure what they would think of me commenting on their weight, then I just tell them they are really looking good.

I work with several large people and I get the feeling they would make it more difficult. I think it is nice to tell them they are looking good though. Some one told me yesterday that I looked better in short hair...it has been this length for several years- I assume that it meant the style looked better.

I think I am more attentive than most people are I would love to lose thirty pounds, and that other fifty myself. I think I would be very happy with the first thirty, though. Losing just ten percent of your weight can result in really major health improvements. I need to give myself this pep talk and get on with it. I have a ton of clothes that I would love to be able to wear that I cannot so that should be good motivation.

Debs_place (6759) | 7 months ago | Well GG, that is right where I am with about 50 more to go, I wish I did have some smaller clothes to wear. I am going baggy this summer and will get new stuff for the fall. I know I will not be wehre Iwant to be then so I will go with a minimum.
BTW -- I have been doing Weight watchers and it is going great.

Well done to you for doing what you want to do and that is to lose some weight but please don't overdo it though, if I see someone and notice they have lost weight I would compliment them only if I know its healthy lost of weight and they are happy with it, I salute you girl.
