Any Canon 1000D user here? How do you like your DSLR? Any tips to better use it?

I bought my own Canon 1000D last year and so far, I have been producing quality photos. But I have yet to fully maximzie its features to my advantage. Any tips from from people adept at using DSLRs there? I want to learn various photo effects, any resources you could share with me? Will appreciate your help very much.:)

I just got a a canon 1000D last year for chritmas. it's awesome. i love it.
i am still learning it myself though... still so much i don't know how to use on it.. i am gonna be playing with some new things soon. bought some stuff for it so i cant wait to try it... umm, there are some good sites with useful information on them. i like www.dpreview.com its got a forum on there too and theres forums.steves-digicams.com both of those sites are good at helping people.
look on google for help too

I do not have usefully,Idid not know,but I want to be may,such photographs I am to think that some places should improve,I already listened to several friends to say like this!
