I'm definitely not an expert on Photoshop. I wish I was though! Personally, I think I'm just bad at coming up with designs to create something. But maybe if I learned how all the tools and effects works, I could put the program to good use and make some really nice stuff.

You asked how long it would to take to be good at it. Well, I think it depends on the person. Some people learn really fast. I think if you are an artistic person, you will probably be able to make better stuff faster too.

I recommend going to YouTube. You can find tutorials for just about anything there. You could also buy a book which would be a good reference tool for you as well.

It much depends on how are your learning skills (fast learner, or maybe not that fast), also if you have the dedication and will to learn this complicated software (lost of features and stuff you can use), and finally and less important is that you have the software available (you can still learn without a copy of it, although it may take you more time).

I would not say that I am an expert, but I have used it quite a bit. In terms of how long it takes to learn, it depends on the person.

There are so many tutorials online that show you how to do so many things. That is how I learned to use it besides just playing with it.

There are also many good books on the market. Go to a bookstore and look at them and then to save money order them online.

For become expet in good in editing in photoshop Concentrates on no . hours than days .If you are using photoshop for 4 hours in a day than it takes 1 month in becomeing expert .there is various types of editing techniques one which are written in books and ones which are developed by you self :)

Ditch the books. I learned my way around photoshop by playing around and experimenting with all the different tools! Once you find out what each one does, you can add all of your knowledge together and create something wonderful.

Adobe Photoshop is really one of the superior softwares in image editing software world.It is very easy to manipulate and edit almost any kind of image in this software upto the desired level of consistency.And most optimistically an average multimedia student would not take more than four months to master or expertise in this software.

i have been using photoshop for years and up to now i'm not an expert. but i can say that i know the basic. photoshop has a lot of use and for me is a very complex software and very hard to master. it can be used to create website edit pictures and mostly in graphic designs. i think it would be forever to master photoshop but knowing the basic use of the tools will definitely help you in creating or achieving a beautiful result

I've been using photoshop to some degree for the last five years of my life. And I still wouldn't say that I am an expert at it. There are new things that I learn every single day. I know that there are several books available that teach you about photoshop, but I found that most of those didn't do my any good, what has done me the most good is just getting in there and playing with my program. I mostly use the program for digital scrapbooking and digital design, but I can also edit a picture pretty good too.

Well, I am a video and photography editor, I didn't study that.. I learned a little bit by myself and when I started working here they taught me more stuffs.. I've been working on this for almost 2 years and I can't say I'm an expert though I know how to use most of the tools, I really love photoshop, with a little bit of inspiration and imagination you can do really cool stuffs :)What I do is photo-retouching.. it's very different than designing but you can do a lot of things with this software.
