My Father's Day...  |

|  I am relieved...
Optimistically anxious...
I'm having a good time but wish the phone would ring.
I'm ready to go home but I dread the nine hour drive.
I know life from this moment on will never be the same and I'm excited about the possibilities that await...
I am hopelessly in love and have never been happier in my life.
I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.
Today we are...
Heading out to the beach but not for long. There is a heat advisory here. Highs of 101 degrees today.
After that we're off to lunch somewhere, either Peg Leg Pete's, or Sidelines or Flounders.
After that we'll spend the rest of the day on the beach once the heat wanes.
Then, when it gets dark I start getting anxious about my drive home. I'll leave in the morning around 4:00 AM. It's a solid 9 hour and 600 miles of driving.

As for me, I'm a mom, so my day will involve
catering to everyone else in the house.
As usual! No change about that.
Thanks for the reminder on Father's day.
I'm online today trying to drum up a few extra
dollars to make ends meet this month.
No holiday for me.

| |  Hi, it is either pecking out the pennies online or cleaning, or yard work trying to get on top of things. My hubby is not a father, but my daughter always wishes him "Happy Bobert's Day" as his name is Robert. Her daddy died when she was sixteen. Bob is proud of both of my kids. He is a neat guy too.

| |  Interesting. I just replied to your post and they wouldn't take it. Said I was only to include letters, numbers and standard punctuation. Didn't know there was anything else on my keyboard. Anyway, I will try again.
My Father's Day has already been maxed out pretty much. My daughter came two weeks ago and we celebrated it by going down to the lake and having a raspberry shake. Then we had pizza. I pretty well have gotten all the presents I am going to get as we went into the big city Thursday and I got a nice big frying pan that won't stick when I fry food. I have one little present I still have to open that my visiting daughter left me. Otherwise my day will be as usual as it is raining just like it has been doing for the last 19 days. I think we might get a stronger wind with this rain so my wife brought in the potted flower plant. Now when I tried posting they made me go sign in again.

| |  I am glad your day is/was going great. my day was great too. I lost my dad when I was 12 so today was just a regular Sunday. I saw a little soccer, and did some chores. I am looking forward to tonight. There are a few shows and movies I want to see.Have a safe trip home, Talk to you later.

| |  My father's day was rather simple and sweet.Since it was a Sunday everybody was kinda tired and lazy to walk around early in the morning.I woke everybody in the house up by playing my drums in the morning.Successful was the plan, everyone wake up at 9 in the morning.Then I took my dad outside of the house and splash him with a pail of water and then he got real pissed and started chasing me around.He started mumbling until he finally chased me into the garage and ready to splash me back with water and then he saw a cake lighted in front of him.I wished him happy fathers day and he was all in tears...my dad is so funny and youthful and there is none like him.
