well junior-senior prom! its probably one of the most memorable events in a student's life...
me, i remember attending our prom night...i am on my third year then in high school. it was a new experience for me and that's why i'm so excited about it! i remember how we prepare for that day...we practice everyday for the dance number of our class and at that day of the prom night...i'm wearing a pink cocktail...i think its beautiful...
that night was really memorable having my friends there, we party all night...and what even makes its nice is that our crushes are just around...hahaha
wht a beautiful night we have then...even if i'm not really do dance on the party i still enjoy it watching my friends dancing all night...
how about you? do you attend your Prom? and how was it? let's talk about it here...
thanks in advance for sharing...
have a nice day!

IN my whole life, i have only attended one prom night, which is my graduation from secondary school.. haha =D I was quite excited during that time because i get to wear my best outfit and be hanging around with all my classmates together in school.. haha =D Furthermore, there are so many gals around, dressing in the way wherrby we dun expect to see them in those at all too.. hehe ^_^
BUt as the party goes on, it gets kinda boring because there are no dancing, no performance, but just mixing around with new and old students.. PLus, that was my first prom night along with all my classmates, but i do find it very disappointing.. haha =D

hello kun...as expected, you are here! thanks!
well its true that its really exciting attending proms...we are excited to wear our "dress to kill" outfits!hahaha
i remember, its the first time that i wear make up on my face and have my eyebrow plucked! hehehe
i am just wondering why your prom night turns to be that boring as you said? why there's no dancing nor performance? does the organizers didn't prepare any program to make that night exciting and memorable for students? ohhh that's sad...and yes disappointing...

Well, i'm always here, as long as discussiosn keep coming, i will always be responding to them ^_^
Yeah, it's so different from what i seen on tv.. haha =D The greater my expectations, the greater my disappointment too.. Actually, i dun think they meant it to be a prom night, but rather a gathering night of ex students too.. Thus, not much of performance was there, even though there are a buffet with limited food as well.. haha =D
Luckily, that was my only one prom night, and i need not go thru the same boring experience twice.. hehe ^_^

oh i see...
so, lesson learned...don't expect too much so that we will not be disappointed if we don't get what we expect...
but one thing that's good in your prom is that there's so many foods...unlike in ours...too much party...less food! hahaha
so for you, one is enough? and two is too much?

I remember our JS prom for sure. It was the time of puppy love and secret crushes and stuff. I also remember the dress and the many days of rehearsals. We wanted to look our best on that night, didn't we? But it was hard trying to be the person you are not. Acting like a lady, prim and proper, demure and graceful. Oh we had to practice that too and table manners of course.

hehehe...well that's life! sometimes we need to be other person! ladies must act lady like and men must act as a gentlemen! but its nice seeing our friends and classmates that way even just for a night!
that night, our class danced swing...and hehehe i remember how i try my very best learning the steps for that dance (actually i am a very bad dancer! my feet are both left!)
but i am happy that we do it very well and with my crush as my partner? Wow! i feel like heaven!

Yes, I remember my proms. I actually went to three of them. My junior prom, my senior prom and I went to a prom with a guy who was a year younger then me at his school after I graduated. I had a really good time at all of them. I think my Junior prom was the most fun though. They hired a hypmotist to entertain everyone before the dancing and it was really funny. After the dance we all went in to the city and we had a carriage ride and we went to a nice restaurant with some friends of mine. After my Senior prom we went out a little bit and then we went to a friends house and her mom fixed us all a fancy breakfast, that was nice too. After the other prom where I went to the other guy's school's prom, that was not quit as fun. We went to hotel where there was suppossed to be a party and it ended up being two guys who had two really drunk girls in the beds in various states of undress. That was not so much fun. We ended up going to some dive restaurant. But it was still a bit fun.

Hi Ckyera,
it was a boring third and forth year highschool years for me...i never experienced any JS promo in my entire life. i studied in a catholic school and we never was allowed to have one during that time. JS promo is a no-no in our school then. so i apologized for not sharing any significant experience here about it. i envied my friends and you for experiencing such!

oh i see, well that's the problem in attending to some catholic schools coz they are being too conservative on things...hehe you are like my mom not experiencing things like this when she's on her high school coz she also attended school in a catholic school! but its okay msfrancisco coz you are not alone in this, actually that time i am just being stubborn, my father didn't really allow me to go there but i insist telling him that it just happen once in a student's life and that we will be graded in our dance there..hehe but that's true.

but my prom night, not that exciting coz i don't have a date...hehe but still i enjoy watching my classmates dancing with their partners...hehe

you're such a creative creature sister! you're able to convince your dad to allow you to attend js prom because it's graded. so what can he do if you are required to attend or else it can even be the reason for you not passing one subject LOL. how i wish i experience prom too!

hahahaha! i still keep that old photo with girlfriends on the prom night. when i was junior, silk was a trend and we were required to wear pink dresses. we all look so funny because we were just girls, not yet women. i remember that my silk dress was my choice and my oldest bro paid for it. unfortunately, the seamstress wasn't skillful enough to get the style right. LOL!
i have not much of a memory for the senior prom and zero for college because i never showed up. i wasn't really into dancing then so i preferred staying in one corner and just had fun being a spectator.

hello cheiyen!
haha, we are almost the same, coz i am also wearing pink in our prom! hehe because the dance number that i am with requires us to wear such color, but mine is not silk instead its i don't know what to call that thin fabric that looks like a covering...hehe
and i am also keeping some photographs from that night, and it makes me smile seeing our hairdos and the make ups! wahaha...
e don't have js prom when we are already seniors...and in college, not much as well except our acquaintance party!

we had our prom in a hotel, we were blessed enough to sleep overnight at the hotel.. i remember we were room hopping since most of our batchmates were sleeping in the hotel as well. after the prom, we went to starbucks for coffee and around 1am, we went back to our rooms. I remember sleeping at 3 or 4 in the morning drinking and laughing our heads off :)

Prom night...I think this was a memorial event for me as it was the first and most important event when I left high school. The place where all the moments are freeze. I join the committee for the prom and was performing for the prom. Our performance was really different,we did breakdance and people must must be wondering, why breakdance on prom night.Well partly it was for the entertainment and trying to get everyone into the mood of dancing.I was wearing the best suit I ever had in my whole life and it was pre made and custom made for that particular event alone.I danced with my girlfriend that night whom I just met that night and lasted for 3 years now our relationship.beautiful memories...

Yes. Those two years of participating JS prom were so memorable for me. Those years I remembered I don't know yet how to dance. I mean dancing a fast music. What I knew was only a slow one, where I could dance only my first GF..he he he he (crazy days..)There were no other moments that got me excited during our JS prom before except that I was excited only to see and dance my girlfriend..those were the good old days...

i didn't experienced having a boyfriend on my high school years...so i am just contented having a glimpse on my crushes! hahahaha
i am like you, i am also not good on dancing, but i think that night i do good in dancing "swing" which our class performs...and i really do it good to the best that i can because my partner is my crush...hahahaha
but aside from that performance...i do not dance again for the whole night! i am just there talking non stop and having fun watching other couples dancing...

oh yes i did attend to js prom and it was so mnemorable to me, specially the 3rd year prom. because it will be the first time that we will be attending in a prom. and i'm wearing a long baloon pink gown. and my friends let me dance with my crush. and when it was my 4th year prom it was not that happy because it will be ur last prom.. so all of us cry at the end of the prom and nothing special happen at that event unlike when it was my 3rd year prom.

I so remembered my JS prom. It was years back and it wasn't really that memorable for me. I was a bit shy back then, and really wasn't into parties and stuffs like that. Boys were the last thing on my mind when I was in high school. I guess I was a late bloomer. Collge years were the best days of my life.
I remember my JS prom and it wasn't memorable for me because the way we picked out our dates was for the guys to pick rolled papers in a bowl with our names! Imagine that! I was forced to be the date of a guy who had a crush on me and it was awkward because I never liked the guy in that way. The whole prom wasn't totally excrutiating, it had its moments. By best time was when we (my girlfriends)were on the dance floor working some sweats off! We hated our dates and that was the downfall of our so called prom.

ah okay..i understand you and i think the way you get your date is not good...its never exciting to date person that we don't like...geeez!
but atleast you have a date! hehehe. me idon't have a date that night...after we finish our class performance we just sit there in a group...coz i am not the only one who don't have a date that night...but i don't care! i still enjoy the whole night chatting with my friends and watching our other classmates dancing with teir dates!

I never went to my junior high prom. I was a chubby kid and not that good at dancing. I also am very shy so I wouldn't have wanted to go. I enjoy watching films about them however and I do like looking at dresses and imagining what I might have worn if I did!

I remember both my junior prom and senior prom! My junior prom was 7 years ago and my senior prom was 6 years ago! Junior prom I'd asked a guy I worked with to me my date and he agreed. But then just a few weeks before prom he stopped showing up to work and I couldn't get a hold of him on his phone so I was left without a date! Luckily my best friend (who lives 600 miles away) got on a plane and came down at the last minute so that he could be my date for prom! And we had such a fun time, we decided to go together to my senior prom too!

so where is he now? what happened after the prom?
was your prom a special one? having your best friend as you date?
you are lucky to have attended both junior & senior prom...me i only attended junior prom because the next year our school didn't have it...we go in a field trip instead!
but its okay because on that year we have our senior's night and the graduation ball...both are also very nice and happy!
