Is there an internet site that no matter when you log on

it's incredible SLOW? I have a cable connection. So most of the time sites are very quick. But more than once in a while I log onto certain sites and they D-R-A-G!! It is very frustrating. I have noticed that it is usually when I am using IE as my browser.

Firefox is reputed to be a fast browser, but I have also heard people touting Opera.

Yes. there are several websites that load slow for me. I have dialup too though. some are just very slow though and it takes forever for them to load. Most sites are failry quick considering though.

I have that all the time with certain sites. Like mylot is slower then other sites I go to and also a site called MyPoints and also myspace..maybe it has to do with how much they have to load or the usage of it.

The download speed also depends on the number of users accessing the site at the same time, and browser optimisation.
There are sites which are optimised for a particular website. Maybe you should try using a different browser, and see how it goes. I have eight browsers installed. The default browser is Opera. Version 10 beta has a turbo function. It is primarily for dial up connection. I have broadband, and had it set to 'automatic'. At times it switches to Turbo Mode, giving a fast download speed. For example Myspace took around three seconds.
