On homosexuality, bisexuality and the like

First of all, the church may not approve of their life style, however the important issue is whether or not a person is active or not. They don't approve of single men and woman being active, either..therefore it is not any difference for them. The church's stand is to obstain from activity, therefore they certainly would not condemn someone because of their preference.... as long as they are not active. Simple as that.

I, myself, would not feel obligated to tell anyone, it is between them and God.

If they are living the life, that is, having s*x relations with the same gender in or out of marriage, they should repent and not live that life anymore. It is a sin. If they have an attraction for those of the same gender s*xually, they should pray to God to keep them from temptation. And if they cannot find someone of the opposite gender to marry or have no desire to, the best choice is abstinence.
We all face numerous temptations but the Apostle Paul said "And such were some of thee," meaning there were in his days, men and women who had been homosexuals and lesbians, but once they became Christians, they no longer lived that lifestyle and with all the Roman Baths, plus the slaves who were available for their owner's pleasure, it would have been much harder to do then now.
So if you know someone who is a practicing homosexual or lesbian, tell him or her that it is wrong, if they refuse, get another two members of the congregation to talk to them, and if not, you have to tell the elders or the presbyters because they are committing a gross sin.

I think you should extend the love of God to them as you would any other sinner. What would you do if their were alcoholics in your congregations, or if their were drug addicts in your congregation? The same thing. However, I believe that extending the love of God means that someone in leadership position in the church should discuss with them the policies and beliefs of that congregation. If the church is preaching against fornication, everyone needs to know what that covers, hetrosexual and homosexual alike.

In my point of view that person maybe seeking god and hence their reason for being in church.People believe that for some its a way of live not chosen and others chose it.For instance there are women/men who cant be turned on by the opposite s e x.Where some changed after years of have opposite partner relations.We are in no position to judge unless you have no sin.I really think that the best thing to do is embrace this individual and help them find what they are seeking unless of course they are trying to pull the church members to their world.As far as i know only straight is acceptable in the eyes of god.We are not suppose to turn anyone away from the church because then we are being the judge of who are christian and who isnt when god has said only he can judge.All we can do is allow the lord to guide them and pray that they may see the light like we did after all a sin is a sin.
