1.  maximax8 (10402) | 6 months ago |  I went to Hawaii when I was 20 years old. I was on my way around the world. After spending time in California the prices in Hawaii seemed quite pricey. I stayed on North Shore. The beaches had high waves and swimming wasn't possible. It was sad but interesting to visit Pearl Harbor. I spent a day at Waikiki Beach and it was really touristy with high rise hotels. I wish I had flown to some of the other islands but I had to watch my budget. It is a place to have much fun and enjoyment.
