what are the best bed_time storieds to read for your kidz?

When my son was about 3 years old his favorite was a little golden book called A Bunny Looking For a Home. We read it so much that he had it memorized. It was about a bunny looking for a home and as he looked he found many that were not for him. He went down the road looking for a home until he found the right one. My grandkids like the Mercer Mayer's little critter stories. and now they are all grown up and my granddaughter still like them. So Do I. My eldest daughter loved 'Where the Wild Things Are' by Maurice Sendak - and I had to do all the special voices. My youngest (a son) liked AA Milne's poetry - 'When We Were Very Young' and 'Now We Are Six'. Those poems have lovely rhythms to them, and are also funny and interesting.

As of now my son is only 19 months old, he doesn't have a favourite bed time story. But he loves the books which is very colourful and bright, specially with car's drawings in it.

I used to read 'Where The Wild Things Are' to our boys. I made it interactive. We would all 'roar our terrible roars' and 'show our terrible claws'. They loved it.

I also read the Little Critter books to them. And of course the Dr Seuss books.
