Which is great?

I have never seen these two places in person but have seen lots of pictures. I think between the two I would rather see the Great Wall of China. The fact that the wall is very old and still standing (I am sure some repair has been done to it over the years) is amazing. Plus from the pictures I have seen, the view is amazing. Nothing against the Tajmahal..it seems like a beautiful place.

Although im indian, i rather choose the wall since it is much greater btween the two,, can be seen from space also. The work force of the GWC is amazing, although its made for defence purpose, the idea is great. I'd love to visit it.

They are quite different in intention as well as appearance. The Taj was built, as I understand it, as a tomb for a much-loved wife while the Wall was built for defense. They are both truly great feats of construction but the Taj was built for love while the Wall was built to repel. While the Wall would fill me with awe, I think the Taj would move me to tears.

My goodness, not a fair comparison. The Great Wall is awesome mostly because of it's incredible size and the Taj Mahal is just beautiful. Both are great in their own way. It's like asking what's more beautiful, the Alps or the Grand Canyon!

I haven't seen for real these two great structures. I have seen in them in pictures and read about them too. I think both have to be given their own credit. They are in themselves unique and magnificent. The great walls of China was built for protection. The Taj Mahal was built out from a heart that loved so much. Both have been built from pure intentions of the heart. But when it comes to enormity of labor, well the great wall of China gets the credit.

I think, there should be no comparison for both are so different and so beautiful in their own ways. So, I cannot compare. Both are grea creations and I appreciate the creators.

I think it would be the Great Wall. The Tajmahal is lovely but it just seems like the wall had more work put in and is more impressive.

I would give more credit for The Great Wall of China than Taj Mahal. I chose the first rather than the second because the The Great Wall's construction had sacrificed thousand of Chinese slaves in the Ming Dynasty. As where as the Taj Mahal was just built as a memoir for the king or sultan's beloved wife who died.

I have seen both through pictures only and so i cannot give the right assessment, but i would prefer to say the Taj Mahal being an Indian.
