Countdown time till we move  

I give you a suggestion . As I belong to an Indian culture, what we do when we enter a new house is that we invite our family members in the morning on the very same day when we enter the house . Then at around 10'o clock in the morning we have a prayer called ' havan ' . It is basically a pure fire lit in the house so as to protect the house. We call a priest , he chants everything and then we offer prayers to the god in the new house. After that we give a ' prasad ' as a blessing of god . Prasad is mainly a sweet dish which is offered to the god. Then we have a party in the night and we all celebrate. You can do something like that!

Good luck on your move, I just helped my daughter and her hubby move last weekend, we have been busy trying to get the new place in order for a scrapbook day with friends this Saturday, and tomorrow we're all going to a Scrapbook Convention about 3 hours away. We've got the house looking good now, finished painting the living room yesterday morning. And she's having a party on the 4th, for her hubby's birthday/house-warming/4th of July. So we had to spend some long days moving, unpacking and getting things ready for the parties these next two weekends. And then I'll be loading up my stuff and moving from Virginia to Texas in the next 5-10 days.
