Why Am I Not Surprised About Possible Cause Of Michael Jackson's Death  

It makes you wonder too if Jackson's bizarre behavior might have been triggered off by any medications he was taken. Painkillers...especially the real heavy duty kind aren't really to be fooled around with and usually are for short term use, but most are very addictive

Yes to my mind many doctors are legal drug pushers--also many doctors just plain don't know all the possible side effects and complications by interactions of several drugs. My mother was had a painful kidney infection and her doc gave her heavy duty painkillers...she acted like a zombie, slept most of the time and on top of that, drank! A wonder she didn't put herself in a coma..I told her to stop taking them....and thankfully she did listen to me (for a change...LOL)

I refuse to take most prescriptions to begin with

Celticeagle, while some people intentionally get into addictive substances, I have also discovered that some indeed get addicted because the addictive substances were wrongfully prescribed to them. I hope people will learn to trun to preventive and natural medicines for whatsoever health problem they have. And the fact that these drug pushers and drug dealers calling themselves "doctors" are in it for the money only make matters worse!

That could have been the problem...sometimes family members don't recognize a "problem" with another family member as the person might hide the problem whatever it is very well. In Jackson's case...yes, he no doubt was in a lot of pain after his accident...but he could have been rehabilitated and given pain management without relying on medications after awhile--I guess to the doctors it was just easier to keep pumping him up with meds

Yes, sometimes they do. I think it has to do with pride, and who has the clout.

This is really sad! You see, I am one of those who was very proud of Michael for not been said as having a drug addiction! With all the natural talent and success ....

It does seem very odd that Jackson's doctor "disappeared"--I'm betting he realized his mistake and yes could be probably be charged with murder especially if he knew all the other medications Jackson was taking and should have used more caution

There was a doctor here in Louisville that had his privileges taken away because he was giving to many pills to his patients. One of his patients died right in his waiting room! The guy had gone to the window several times and told the girl he was feeling funny and she told him he had to wait his turn! He had a heart attack and died in the waiting room. They wouldn't let hm write his own prescriptions for almost a year and all his patients that take 'controlled pain medications' have to drug test every month to make sure they are clean and not taking any other street drugs!

How heartless of that receptionist telling the patient to "wait his turn"--reminds me of a story I heard sometime last year of how a woman was at her doctors office and was in the beginnings of a heart attack....they did call 911 and just as they were ready to take the woman away to the hospital, the receptionist said she couldn't leave until she paid the $5.00 still owed!

they say on the news cast at 9:51pm that they have found the doctor that was there with Jackson and they police have made an appointment to talk with him. Personally, if I had been the police I don't think I would have be so friendly or nice. but maybe that's just what they are saying to the public. I think that if Jackson had not been given the medication he would still be here tomorrow and still be doing the concert and this is one huge tragedy.

The problem as I see it was Jackson's notoriety...being at the status he was, he no doubt requested medications from his doctors and they were more than willing to give them to him whether they should or shouldn't have

No I've never heard of a doctor of a celebrity refusing to hand out meds like candy to their "patient" that's why I often think docs in general are glorified drug pushers.

LOL--yes I think there is a bit of overkill about Jackson too..heehee...I was just looking at it from the prescription drug angle...and angle that all too many celebrities are/were victim of going back to Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland...etc

yeah that perspective SHOULD be looked at
BUT there are thousands of people throughout this country every year that die and who's death may or may not be or have been caused by excessive prescription drug use
do all those people get this kind of publicity?

Depending on what medications total Jackson took, and he may have been taking medications all his life just about may have explained a lot of his behavior, don't you think? To give an example...almost all those kids who killed kids on school grounds were taking anti-depressants that actually made them more violent
