All about the STAR on your name |
|
I have reached past my 50th post and I'm excited because I'm heading towards my first star. I've read from one of the posts here that one gets a star once the posts reach 100. There's something that's puzzling me though. I noticed that the stars have different colors. Some members have blue, the others red, yellow, brown, white, even peach. What does the color mean? Does it have anything to do with your rank? Or with the number of posts? Also I see some stars are bigger than the others, and some have a number on the star. Can anyone please enlighten me on this? Would appreciate inputs. Thanks a lot!

doryvien (950) | 6 months ago | Hi Bazerk,
I checked the FAQ but I didn't see any question (and answer) regarding the colors of the stars. I sure would like to know what each color means. I'm thinking they won't be there for no reason at all - the different colors I mean. Thanks for responding anyway. Happy myLotting!

doryvien (950) | 6 months ago | Hey Boogerman,
So the star is like a "status symbol" at myLot. It makes me even more motivated to get my star soon. But of course I realized now that it's not easy, it entails hard work as well.
Happy myLotting!

boogerman (854) | 6 months ago | The response, discussion, or comment can be rated by any other user except on the user who posted it. As you notice, there are three buttons on the right side of any post but you can not see on your own post.

doryvien (950) | 6 months ago | Hi Boogerman,
Wow! That was very informative indeed. You surely know how things work here. And thanks a lot for giving tips on what to discuss and what topics to avoid, as you can see I haven't been here long enough to know these things. This is just one of the many reasons I enjoy being at myLot, the members are very helpful and willing to share their knowledge and experiences.
More power to you and happy myLotting too!

Points well taken. While I've already read the FAQ and guidelines, most of the things you and the other respondents mentioned are not found there, or maybe I wasn't looking hard enough? Either way, you are speaking from experience and I'd give it as much credit as those in the guidelines. They will surely help me in going around here. Thanks a lot for responding.
