AVOIDING SCAMS, MY FRIENDS, (three of three) | | I suppose you may be smart enough to know what I've been talking about before I say it, but there may be some who have yet to experience these things. We hear of people falling for tricks and scams all the time and friends should help each other. Some people have fallen harder and further than I ever have, but are too shy or shamed to tell.
I CAN'T BELIEVE, how many have fallen for the trick of the individual who comes to them with a sob story that they can't legally cash in on a lottery ticket for some reason, and so they're willing to sell it for much less, so that the buyer can cash it in and become rich. The "target" buys the ticket and when they so happily go to cash it in, they find the numbers were right, but for the wrong date! THEY'RE WORTHLESS! but have cost them a life's saving. Very sad, but heard it several times.
Thankfully, I'm not that naive and have gotten smarter through the years. I don't expect any freebies.
Some weeks ago I asked mylotters about internal cleansing because I've been hearing more and more about it and thought it would do me good, so I got a lot of good advice to think about. But I didn't do anything until recently I saw one of those paid programs about that very issue, and reawoke my interest, BUT they wouldn't mention the price! MAN, when I called to find out the price --all set to say no-- this guy was soooooo good --I mean GOOOOOOD! REALLY GUD!!! He was the epitome of the amicable, pleasant conversationalist --SO RELAXED... THIS GUY WAS COOL!!! Get my drift? I could have bought the stuff just to make sure he got paid!!! I LIKE THAT DUDE!~
Then I told him I wasn't going to buy it at the time and he very courteously dismissed himself. So far so good. I think it was probably a good deal; $79 or so for a six month treatment and the Dr that promoted it was really convincing, as was also the telemarketer (he must have undergone one awesome training course, I tell you) But I'm decided I'm not doing those things again! If I want it, I'll call back, or wait until the next time it's offered. I want to think it over dang it!!!
GUESS WHAT!!! In less than two weeks I was getting calls from somewhere unfamiliar, which I don't normally answer, and when I finally did (out of curiosity) IT WAS THEM!! They could now offer me the same thing for LESS THAN HALF PRICE! YOU CAN DO BETTER!
That's the message... take your time and don't let others make your mind up for you. In reality, merchandisers SERVE THE CUSTOMER, and when you buy, IT'S YOUR DECISSION. Don't let anybody railroad you.
AND MAY YOU PROSPER By the way, I went ahead and started something, but I got it from Walgreens and YES, it has made a difference for me. PEACE.

mechanicNOT62 (1590) | 7 months ago | How right you are! This never used to be an issue in our market, although I think Asians have known for centuries that this is important. It's not the same thing as laxatives and that's what always bothered me. In my search I also discovered the difference between laxatives and cleansers, and a term that makes all the difference. It seems that while laxatives simply irritate your innards to make you go, cleansers are "probiotic", meaning that they replace bacteria that you need inside. There's more, but I concluded that a person needs to know enough to be comfortable with whatever they take, and the program I watched on TV reinforced a lot of what I read on the labels at the pharmacy.
I can attest to the fact that these I'm taking HAVE made a difference even though I wasn't constipated or anything like that. It was just the slow heavy digestion, bloating and discomfort that had me convinced I needed to do something. I feel better. I don't want to publicly advertise it here but I'll let you know.

I'm not going to be pressured into buying something when I haven't made up my mind. And if I miss out on it and I really CAN'T get that price again, oh well, I'm pretty sure it's not the end of the world, the sky isn't going to fall, etc.

mechanicNOT62 (1590) | 6 months ago | I was just thinking that last night when I saw the guy from shamwow, AGAIN saying, "if you call within the next few minutes because we can't do this all day." He's been saying that for months, huh!
