TV is a stupid box?

well lots of people watch television and it's far from stupid. It's only really as good as the content and while there is absolute rubbish on television - there is lots of choice with satellite television, cable etc so there is plenty of choice.

I don'r watch it much but it's certainly as good as invention as it always was and that will never change. The people that think otherwise are entitled to their opinion but certainly they're probably in the minorty

Also - people can love television and going out. There is probably a stigma - ie couch potatoes etc but people are free to choose

Yes, many people call TV things like stupid box, idiot box, waste of time and pointless.
But nowadays those who do not watch TV are left behind.
For example. One day i woke up and started playing a nintendo ds for a couple of hours. When i got out my brother was on the computer and it was too late for any good TV shows to be on. So i had a shower and played ds more.
When my brother got off the computer i hopped on and went on Windows Live Messenger.
It was here where i was finally told of Michael Jacksons death (at around 3pm my time, which was a long long time after the event).
I was so behind in the times due to me not watching TV for just one morning.

Sure some shows can be "idiotic" or "stupid" but there are lots of shows and broadcasts that will help keep you posted on excited events and current news etc.
