Why asthma patients are using Inhaler instead of Tablets????

Well i think there is no need of a seprate medicine when you got a inhaler, asthma is a disease which does not get cured fast.An inhaler relieves from asthma sooner and also contains medicinal properties and it is not addictive at all.And it also depends on our own comfort and needs what is good for us.There are also some inhalers which contains pills inside them which reacts when we spray them.

The general idea is that asthma attacks interferes with the intake of oxygen due to reduced airflow, this causes the usual symptoms related to asthma shortness of breath, wheezing but different people react slightly differently, most inhalers basically force open the airways allowing a person to breath using a medication in powder form some inhalers have the gas/powder together others have a tablet which is crushed by the inhaler, in certain cases when this does not work doctors will have to use other methods like using oxygen masks and stronger medication to help the patient breath again. Asthma is a complex illness that results from different factors, both genetic and environmental, there is no easy solution and people react differently to different medications. It is recognized chronic disease, there is no one pill that cures or treats asthma, rather each person needs to find a way of controlling their attacks.

there are pills for asthma that help prevent asthma attack, so a lot of asthma patients take these pills, there are also inhalers that do the same. in emergency situation though inhaler is a must. it's faster absorbed then pills. what inhalers do is they open up bronchi, and allow air to get through. the faster medication gets into the blood the faster it will work. there are many small blood vessels in the mouth and throat so inhalers are absorbed faster.
Btw, research has shown that asthma patients who stoped eating meat had improvement in their asthma condition 98% of peopel saw improvement after not eating meat for a year). it's related to quality of meat, animals are often given antibiotics and hormones that are settling in the meat. when we eat this meat we end up eating antibiotics and hormones too and it disrupts the immune system. asthma is an autoimmune disease, so healthy immune system is very important. it's better if people at least eat organic meat if they can't stop eating meat at all.
another fact is that although asthma used to fall under the umbrella term of COPD it is not one of the any more because it is not chronic. some people who had asthma were able to get cured. this was achieved by finding out what causes asthma in each individual. in most cases it's allergic reaction, including food allergies. the most common asthma causing food allergy is milk.

Inhaler can sooths and let them feel better
than using tablet .Tablet cannot feel comfortable
right away in breathing than inhaler.
It can help them breath freely as nothing blocks
there breathing and the effect of the tablets
is long time .I know they still take it as a
maintainance but still they bring for first
aid of breathing.

I've asthmatic and I know the differences between inhaler and tablets. If we use the inhaler, it is for instant relieve but if we takes tablets, it takes time to relieve the asthma.Although the tablets are more effective in curing the asthma, inhaler is more in handy because we just need to pump it to our mouth without the need to swallow the tablets.That is what I've experienced before.But this is more to individuals speculation.I'm just sharing what I know and what I've been through.Enjoy your day~

I do have asthma and in my experience, inhalers provide some sort of instant temporary relief. I've been using my inhaler for more than 10 years already. I really don't know how it works but as soon as I puff, I feel that my air passage somewhat gets cleared and I can breath more freely. I used to take tablets too before and if my memory serves me right, tablets are taken in as maintenance. Not a lot of people who have asthma need maintenance because I think maintenance medicines are only taken in for serious attacks. For mild and acute attacks, an inhaler can provide relief.

According to me Inhaler is best in emergency bcoz its affect quickly within second, In astha when it attacked at that time your bronchi is constricted, the smooth muscle cell in bronchi is constricted the airway become inflamed and swollen and breathing become difficult .. Usually people using Beta-2 Agonist in acute stage its good treatment but if you used this as oral then it will affect usually after 3 to 4 hrs .. but in emergency you can't wait even one min . . so you use inhaler then its work within second ... main think drug is absorbed very well when you use inhaler compares to oral medicine ...

Usually Oral Medicine first go in Stomach then after travelling many other body part it reach in circulation then it reach to affected person ... but in inhaler it directly reach to affected part in within second ...

lol a friend's daughter has asthma, some times the attack is so powerful, i just can't see her, she almosts chokes, she carries an inhaler, as soon as she has this attack, takes the gas from this one, one to 2 shots and gets instant relief; tablets does not work immediately.... Inhalers gives immediate bronchodilation that gives an immediate relief from dyspnea. Bronchodilation means there were already enough air coming into the lungs making it more easy to breath.
