How much computers did you have in your life?  |

 It's hard to remember for some people, I know. I dont need the marks not necessarely,but just wanna know the numbers. If I remember, me I got 5 computers in my entire life actually. I got my first 386 ahha old one lol, a Compaq one,, wihc I really hated, another one.maybe pentium 4 for sure and got the Dell one,, wich my parents still got and I got my first one for myself a Dell laptop! That's the five I got! What about you mylotters?

im 19 and my father bought me a Pentium 4 machine when i was 17 and now two months before he again replaced the old machine with Pentium Quad Core..
actually i wanted to have imac, but he said u can have ur imac when u start earning..

after the initial parts were bought inner parts such as graphics card and RAM were upgraded according to need(gaming needs).
I plan to get a alienware laptop when I start earning:)
so basically I've either had loads of computers OR just one or two that had minor upgrades .:) The chassis did change from time to time I think twice.

| skayzer (21) | 5 months ago | It's great yeah but then again people rarely buy pre-built or branded computers(in Sri Lanka).But some times, some people select the parts they want and get computer shops to build them,I think U can get a guarantee on the computer then...... not really sure tho...
Ant way cant You buy computer parts separately in Your country?

| 3. tonyllenium (1949) | 5 months ago |  for me it is not much difficult to remember becaus ethey are not so much also because normally a computer with me have a real long life...so as regards desktop i had 2 the first one it was not branded 486 and with different hardware so compatible..afterthat there was an hp..as regards laptop just one a ibm thinkpad i use and have now too...but i must change i think next year i will buy one new will see...must save:)

Its a good computer with nice processor(Core2Duo) and i have recently upgraded its RAM from 1 to 3 GB and its HDD from 160 to 600GB(added 500GB to existing).I just need to add a graphic card.
I am happy with my PC and i think i didn't need a new one for the next 2 years or so. | |

It goes way back to the early 1980's when I had a sinclair, then a radio shack one, a vic-20 and a commodore 64. I had a tandy 1000, a 8086. From there it gets complicated because I had everything from the 286's and up but have had many that I bought cheap and upgraded and sold. Right now I have 3 desktops and 5 laptops. I'm not rich or anything, I take advantage of deals when they come about and friends who are throwing away their old stuff.

| rdadey (331) | 5 months ago | Tell him to buy a KVM switch. You can hook up two or more computers to one screen and use one mouse and one keyboard. It saves a lot of space and is less confusing. I gotta get rid of a couple and get a newer model but will always keep another for backup, you never know when you can have troubles, I've never had any major problems. I am thinking about getting a Mac, they're very stress free. | |

I had to replace the monitor because it broke down and the mouse a couple of times because it broke too. But not my entire computer system.
