Data form World Bank from their Worldwide Government Indicators (WGI) a research project initiated in the late 1990'revealed that the countries performance is worsened last year compare to 1998 in five out of six dimensions governance. Despite for that reports from World Bank. The government was perceive to be more effective over the last decade with a 0.3 percent rise. Look how the Philippine Government manipulating our economics conditions. World reports is much reliable than the governments perceptions on the conditions of our economy. What did believe in. the government reports or the world bank reports? Did you agree that the economy of the Philippines is much better in 10 decades?

I don't know, but I believe that the present government is quite more efficient that the previous terms. Only in today's term that the economy was able to expand more that 7%, and look at the developments in the infrastructure. Personally I believe that it's just because of media's overhyping of negative news, people's pessimism, and the like.

Are you in sound mind to say that growth my friend. The world bank, itself assessing our economy they are right in that reports. Look the your surroundings. Don't be blind for the reality, my friend. Perhaps, you are rich that benefit the current situation in the governments that only rich can be rich. Or perhaps, you are relatives of the politicians that benefit government trust? Look how many poor being destitute and no meal in their household? The government only assure for the remittances of our OFW's and OCW's. Why is this government not providing more jobs, to cope up rising of unemployed? They only rely on call center...

I think adamant prayers is not effective for those people under the influence of money and power. They rely on their money and don't believe about miracles that happen in our country...they only believe in their self that they can corrupt more money from the wealth of the country...Look at those politicians that like leech to retain in their positions...

There is still hope for our motherland the Philippines if we can start change right now especially in casting our votes next year. Filipinos should not sell their votes to candidates they do not consider as their best candidates. Sad to say, but most of our countrymen easily fall to this vote-buyers due to poverty. I hope all of Filipinos can one way or another help our country become a first-class country like Singapore who patterned their road to economic growth from us.

We don't blame our fellow countrymen if they accept money from politician in exchange of their vote. Because of poverty they force to accept the money, they believe that is the only time for them to grace from that politicians. If that politicians seat into his/her positions. He/she knows nothing of the poor people he/she ask for votes. If the official of this country imitate that image that Singapore has, and makes it inspiration when they visit that country. This should be inspire them to make the countries progress. But when they visit that country they only enjoy, staying on that country but not appreciate its beauty and the development it has...?

We hope so that, my friend? But the current situation is not clear whether our country be good in the coming years. Look at the situation now. The Arroyo, government do everything it does to retain Mrs. Arroyo, in power instead they face problems that we have today? Government plot destabilization efforts to reproach opposition as plotters but the truth is they in plant evidence to materialize their efforts to declare state of emergency in the country then Mrs. Arroyo, retain in office. What happen to our next generation if those politicians stay in power? You want Mrs. Arroyo stay in power?

I want to ignore that news and believe that our country is really doing OK with the present governance. But I just couldn't. I mean I wanna turn my attention away from all the poverty, and injustice, and corruption that's plaguing our country, but I really couldn't. That would make me an insensitive rock. It's time for a change and though I believe people in the government desperately need them, we have to admit that the change should start within ourselves. Look at the man in the mirror and tell him to make that change.

I agree with you my friend. We want to ignore what happen in our governments but this Arroyo, administrations is really abusive. Now our upcoming elections believes to be no happen. We need change in our government but not in ourselves that you said. All people work in government offices must take another course in elementary to study values until they graduate. Most probably those in the politics sides, of the governments. The Mayor,Governor,Congressman and Congresswomen...they must change their character. It's hard to live in a country that politicians is known to be corrupt. Did you heard about the latest controversy in the Arroyo, administration again?

How I wish you included links to those reports so we can read first before making our posts. It could be that our government perception is based on other factors than those of the World Bank studies, thus the difference. The sources of data can also make the difference in the reports. One might be using national statistics while the other is using a general survey. But anyway, this is not the first time that World Bank data is different to our government records. Do you remember that the World Bank believes that there are irregularities in the bidding process of their funded projects which the DPWH and other national agencies denied? For me, our condition worsened. Corruptions are now blatantly practiced, powers are often used to abuse, and the types of politicians that we have now seems nothing in mind but to increase their lot. But I do believe in the other posts that change have to start from within. Each Filipino should learn how to respect himself and know his worth so he can act the way he is supposed to be. Why should we settle for "trapos" when we know we deserve more? Why should we tolerate corruption when we know we are paying our taxes right? Why should we allow "padrino system" in government offices when we have high respect of order, rules and regulations? Let's' start the change today while we can and we still have time... we don't know if there's still a chance tomorrow.

I want to include links but I'm not reach the number of discussion to allow on posting links, my friend. I'm for not included it, and hope that when It's not prohibited for me to put links, I will include. As we witness the reality of corruption. I believe that there are many irregularities, in all the project of DPWH (Department of Public Worst and Highways) If there is no irregularities, our roads in the remote areas and urban areas are all good. See how they manipulate their budgets, in that departments. Go to the remote areas, look at the roads here in the city? That is different reports because the government reports is not correct. They are merely reports that is benefited them. Just look around my friend and witness all irregularities, in that office. See how the government manipulate our economy. Did you believe that more Filipino's is enjoy a better life than before? Look how inflation rate rise than before. This government full of anomaly and controversies because they force to say that their government is a good government in the Asian countries. Look at the present situation now, my friend. This government busy, to manipulate their stay in power while their countrymen ask for progress. All they say, is useless. I don't think if you are not witness how our countrymen, struggles because of poverty. I presume that your a rich person because you can't see how people hungry of total changes in the government official character...
