Do you feel safer staying at home?

Hi.
I normally don't care about what is happening on the other side of the globe when I am stepping out, or for that matter, not while attempting anything else. Yes, if their is a chance of some thing happening at the place I am heading to, then I do give a second thought to my steps.
As far as accidents are concerned, they can happen to anyone, at anytime, at anyplace and hence I don't count on their happening or not happening. I just go the way I would like to.
As far as others are concerned and what your post suggests, people are not 100% safe in their houses - agreed, but the chance of getting into something troublesome is not that high in your own house.

Amidst the pandemic H1N1 and SARS (a few years ago), I don't like staying at home. Honestly, its because of my psychological thinking that I will become more sick if I will just stay at home. If I will be just at home, I think my immune system will be weak and not resistant to sickness thats why I like going out even these days, without wearing a face mask. I like travelling in different places and I don't experience any accidents in my life before. I think I am just lucky.

I guess it really depends on where you live. I feel safer in hot weather at home...but being home in the rain and living in the hills could be pretty dangerous. I.E. Houses have slid down the mud hills and into other buildings before during storms.

And seeing as how I live in California, I think it's much safer for most to be indoors than outdoors, especially in certain cities.

It is hard to feel safe anywhere. I use to think it was safe in the neighborhood where I live but I am finding more and more people getting killed through gun violence. I just found out that the very spot where me and my daughter were standing yesterday, 10 minutes after we left there were boys running down the street shooting. No one got killed but we know anyone could have. I have always had a certain fear of flying and have only done it twice but I now don't feel it is any more dangerous than walking down the street.

Accidents happen all the time and we have no control over them. I do fear of getting hurt in accident of any sort but certainly that wouldn't stop me from going out of home. In things like accidents and the like I think fate has it's say so even if some one is being cautous by staying home I don't think it would be of much help. Many things strike even at home too.

it makes no difference for me wherever i am. i believe accidents do happen and if they're going to happen they would happen no matter where one is.

funny, though, but when it comes to my child i fear the worst even if he is just in school.

There are times that I prefer to stay at home because I feel safer here. I don't like going away on trips. I just like to stay close to home.

Homes are the one of the most unsafe places to be. I do not recall the national stats on it, but there are things like indoor pollution, falls,electrical fires, just to mention a few things that can happen at home.

Yes, I do feel safe when I am at home because for me this is the safest place where accidents and injuries can be prevented. But in the other side people staying at home should take good care so that any tragedy or emergency can be prevented. Do an extra care and be aware of the things inside our house. I can say if you always stay outside the house 2 times or 3 times of care you need to have. anytime if your in the street you can commit accident or even harm yourself...

Its more safer inside the house than staying outside going nowhere. Because inside the house the only things you need to be sure are the brittleness of your things surrounded your house, be aware of those things that might fall down, or might cause you fall. Rather than staying outside almost all of the things surrounded by you can harm you like the pollution,car accidents, and etc..
