Fourth of July plans for July 4th 2009  

We will take the kids and go to the local fair and watch the fireworks. We will spend the day with some family and then that is about it. It is nice just to be together and to be home relaxing. We aren't traveling so it should be pretty nice.

Hi Bear - I have zero plans. The bf and I were gonna go out with his parents then come back home to watch some fireworks at the harbor. Unfortunately, the bf will be working long hours this weekend. GAHHH! I hate this new job. Yeah yeah yeah I should be thankful that he's working and he's working hard. But honestly I feel like this job is really taking advantage of his "availability."

Oh well - I'll be alone this weekend. Not looking forward to it. I was until I heard he's working.

Hello, well, the 4th has obviously passed, so I will turn this discussion around and tell you what I did. For the 4th, my family got together and set off a huge fireworks display in our driveway. Fireworks are illegal in Maryland, so we went down to North Carolina to get some good ones. We had a fantastic time and all of our neighbors were thrilled to see such a display without going to see professional fireworks being lit off. Thank gosh, the cops weren't patrolling the neighborhoods like they usually do on the 4th...
