Family Guy  | |  I was amused to read that a lawsuit was sparked over a Family Guy skit song titled "I Need a Jew".
A N.Y. judge in the U.S. rejected a claim that the broadcast of an allegedly anti-Semitic song with the similarities to the Disney classic "When You Wish Upon a Star," on a FOX television show would constitute improper use.
The FOX "Family Guy" produced an episode entitled "When You Wish Upon a Weinstein" which featured a song called "I Need a Jew."The U.S. court Judge Deborah Batts ruled in the case that the song, in a segment in which the leading character in the show, (Peter Griffin), looks for a Jew to manage his money, was humorous and sufficiently different enough in character that it did not infringe on the rights of the owners of the Disney song.
Get over yourselves Disney.
