Old Shoes

I know exactly what you're talking about. I have shoes that I can't let go of too. Mine are a pair of black converse, but now they look gray. They're covered in an incredible amount of dirt with huge rips. One of the sides of the shoes is completely split open, haha. Besides those features, there are various angsty song lyrics written on the tops and such. I love them though because I wore them for a year and felt they had so much history for me. I don't wear them anymore because my family throws a fit but I keep them instead of throwing them out.

and yes I too have a pair of absolute favorites . . actually I probably have more than one pair of favorites in my closet . .One particular pair is actually a pair of boots . .Steve Madden platform ones..in black of course . . they have the height I love and the round toe which is another thing I like when I look down (I never went for that pointed look . .to me a pointed toe says cockaroach killer) and whenever I wear these boots my friend always calls me Dracula! Ha I couldnt care less. . I love them and thats all that counts!

haha i actually did. i always told my mom o its just for mowing the lawn. but the truth was i broke them in, n they were just so confortable n they were my favorite shoes ever. once i went out in them n this women offered me the shoes off of her feet because she seen mine. she told me she had another pair in her back pack.

Yes, I have been there. Its really hard to say goodbye to an old pair of shoes you had for a long time. You just feel comfortable in them but know they are really damaged and not to good to look at. But I had to throw them away because the treads were worn out and it had holes in it.

Me too.If i really like that shoes or it's have something specially means i won't throw it.i will wash them clean and them keep it.yesterday i bought a pair of converse it's black,I like it very much.I think i will keep it long time.old thing alway have some memorable/

i have a pair of leather sandals i bought 15 years ago, and it is still with me, and im still using it, i have had it brought to quickie (a shop that fixes shoes) and had it fixed there the last time i had it sewn.

i love it, a niece of mine borrowed it and lost the strap which was upsetting, so i used a shoelace instead to strap it to my feet. it's older than my daughter... . she can use it when her feet grows longer.. lol

For me I'm constantly wearing sandals and I normally get the old navy ones so once they start to get too worn its not hard to get another pair exactly like them. For me I own 2 pairs of tennis shoes which I wear maybe once a month so I've even hard an issue with them getting ratty since they're never in use and then with my flats its normally not too hard to find another pair like them as well so I've never been in your situation. For me its normally harder to find jeans that I like. I can never find the right cut and the right wash.

I tend to cling onto my things and I have emotional attachments on my personal things. I have memories to associate with. But sorry to say not with my shoes. I wear them and keep on walking with my boots on, till leather starts peeling off. My shoes don't last over a year, lol.

20 pairs thats quite a number, I never had so many at one time.
